Westside Park — Attraction in Escondido

It'll get the job done. Has 2 small full court 10ft rim basketball courts. There is a very large grass area for dogs to run or play catch. The play area for kids is dated and could use a newer one. Some areas just drop off almost like wasn't finished but that might be just me. The area is what was most concerning for me. Looks like apartments and warehouse businesses surround the area. There were kids riding bikes and playing so seemed safe. For me I'll be checking another one out but if you live close there nice place...

The park was very clean, and very spacious. The 2 separate parks for different ages is really awesome. My son is 2 years old and always get bumped or pushed by older kids on the playground. But because he was playing on the smaller childrens playground he had a better experience at the park!! We will continue to go...

The playground equipment is in full sun and the slides are dark, so they get too hot to play on. I watched a local dealer sell drugs to homeless people (he recently got arrested, so I may up the stars).

It's never really busy and there is a big grassy area for soccer or freeze tag, but people don't clean up...
