El Huarache Taco Shop — Restaurant in Escondido

Probably one of my favorite home town taco shops in Escondido. El Huarache honestly has some of my favorite dishes to come around. While it's not a typical 5 star restaurant requiring dress policy or anything of that sorts, it definitely gets a 5 star with my rating due to its tasty foods, fast service, and the list of variety offered here. Ill say my favorite is their California Burrito, even to just think about it gets my mouth watering. And if you got a big appetite I highly suggest the Torta Cubana or their Carne Asada Fries. Its a small shop so you can find it fairly full at times but great things is that they offer take out too. So...

• The Menudo does the job. Fair price for what your paying. A lot of food and condiments. 4/5 !Very Delicious!

• Preferably pay with cash unless you want to pay that extra $1 fee for debit/credit cards.

• I recommend trying their Tortas. Good size and a variety choices to choose from.

• The Lack of spiciness in their salsa it's kinda of a setback. Overall pass! 3/5

I had not eaten here in maybe ten years or more. Not sure if it is the same owner or not. In my mind I had been much better than this last trip. I cannot say that it was bad at all. It is a good little spot and the people are really nice and I like that the food is not salty like most places. I would go back for sure. My friend felt the same way, good but...
