Don’t support this company. I’ve been raised on these donuts and previous ownership is completely different from current in so many ways. First off, the donuts suck now and are greasy and gross, which makes sense given the amount of lard they use. I say this because my boyfriend works there and literally quit today because of the abusive and poorly managed work environment. First off, they don’t train their employees at all leading to so many injuries so don’t be surprised if there’s some added blood in that pink frosting. My boyfriend has sent me countless images of injuries he’s gotten while working in the back. They are losing employees at such an insane rate that there were SEVEN new employees when my boyfriend came in today. The managers there smoke on the job which has to violate so many health codes. Like I don’t want cigarette ash in my food no thanks. A manager named Sam just outright abuses the employees. He told my boyfriend, who comes home bloody with injuries looking like he got ran over by a truck full of lard and chocolate, that he’s lazy and doesn’t work and doesn’t do what he asks. Looking at how he communicated with him over text I’ve yet to see a more unprofessional manager. He already got fired and they for some reason rehired him? He’s one of the managers that smokes on the job by the way. So yeah for the safety of you and others don’t eat ANYTHING this place has to offer. It doesn’t taste good anyway. I’m appalled by the way my boyfriends been treated while working here and hope this place shuts down for good, which it probably will given they can’t keep any employees for more...
Read moreCheck out the patries in the front windows as well as the big picture menu on the wall of the outside covered patio BECAUSE SIZE TRULY MATTERS AT PETERSON'S.
It will serve you well to place your order after you've established a clear perspective of THE ACTUAL SIZE of their magical offerings to the public!!
Peterson's Donuts are neither as sickly sweet as Krispy Kreme's nor as light as Dunkin's.
They do the one thing. Patries. And they've been doing them right there on that random corner for 24 straight hours of every single day since the year that Jesus H. Kryst and Mary Magdeline were our Junior Class Prom King and Queen.
But if you do something well enough? For long enough? You don't have to do anything else.
And Peterson's doesn't have to do anything else but what they're doing for me to never hesitate to make the 3hr round trip drive from my place to their order windows and back again whenever I get a hankering for their amazingly magical pastries!!!
SAGE ADVICE FROM REGULARS: Be absolutely certain that you have your complete list of items to request and in what quantity (as well as a few Plan B and Plan C Items cuz when they're out of something? they're out!) BEFORE YOU APPROACH THE ORDER WINDOWS.
Cuz both the SIZE and QUALITY of their pastries are incomparable -- but the effeciency and expedience with which they are able to, and reknown for, filling every one of their customers' orders* will really blow your mind!!

Read moreBackground: I moved to the area somewhat recently and have had Peterson's two or three times. My wife's family has been coming since it's establishment. From their experience the amount of doughnut choices have sky-rocketed, however the quality of doughnuts has dipped. My experience is that they are "okay" doughnuts, but still good. Honestly, I'm not that picky.
Anyways...I dropped by a couple weeks ago on the tail end of a 50-mile bike ride since I was just riding by and figured I'd get myself a little treat! I went to the counter and pulled out cash (what I bring just in case I need something during a bike ride.) but was met with "we don't do cash transactions anymore". To say I was a bit shocked and disappointed is an understatement. A donut place that doesn't except cash?!? That seems a bit bizarre. The nice employee at the counter didn't seem to want to work with me unfortunately so I left empty-handed and a bit hungry.
My ride home questions started to arise in my mind, "Why the switch? Have they been robbed before and want to reduce the chances of that happening? When you move to card only, is it for the benefit of the company? Are people spending more when they just use a card?...Most likely. Regardless, any donut place should still use cash.
P.S. If you don't do cash transactions anymore, you should probably remove the cash tip container at the counter. Seems to contradict your recent currency transaction...
