So this is unfortunate. we stopped by today to get the usual and it’s been a while since we’ve been here, but the meat was not the same. It was completely dry and no flavor.

Then the consume we paid for was definitely not used for Birria meat.

We were told it was because they ran out of the sauce in the morning, but why wouldn’t you tell us that upfront instead of taking our money?

On top of that when we got the food, we did not get all the food at once so the consume came after we got the tacos and then we paid for three extra handmade tortillas, though we just left after trying the food

Flavor today and I’m almost guaranteed the meat was completely different than in the past.

It was after why it wasn’t the same flavor, why the meat was different, and then I was looking for the excuses why we didn’t get all the food at the same time and why it was brought out a little by little and at that point we just left.

This is the problem with tipping before you get your food and service. Absolutely will not be back. Yoooooo, so my wife is form Guadalajara. I go to Vegas for real estate conventions a lot (they have some great Mexican Restaurants there) but THIS….. boyiaaaa this is absolutely amazing! Great food. Great customer...

We were looking to try a new place and decided on this mom and pop shop Mexican spot. I really wanted to love it but that wasn’t the case. First off, there’s not much seating available so we started off sitting outside in 55 degree weather with no heaters to be found. Once a couple of seats came available inside they were nice enough to wipe it down for us.

We ordered the aguachile tostada, birria ramen, and added the chip appetizer. The tostada came out first but it was the ceviche tostada, which we advised them was wrong, so they took it back to get the right one. No big deal mistakes happen. When they did bring it out the avocado was missing from it. I asked about it and was told they don’t always put it on because it’s a garnish. Then the birria ramen came out which was pretty flavorful but salty. We never did get our appetizer so can’t speak on that.

The biggest drawback for me was the staff standing around just hanging out while 1 or 2 people were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. They were all really young so it seemed like the place to just hang out for them.

Over all it’s a pass...

I truly enjoyed my experience here. The workers were all kind, thorough and attentive throughout my entire stay. The food was fresh, visually pleasing and tasted amazing with great flavors without being overbearing or greasy. The drinks (Horchata and Tropical X) were refreshing and perfect for a hot summer's day out on the patio. And even when the staff found out they were not able to prepare one of the main dishes a little after ordering, they were able to rectify the situation, they were apologetic and doubled down on their already remarkable service. They prompted me to order a replacement entree that showed up quickly and I was able to enjoy my meal with the rest of my table. There are so many options on the menu that look great and because of the quality choices of food and the unbelievable level of service on my first time here, I will definitely be back soon to try something new! Highly recommend this new spot in Escondido. Definitely...
