I've debated if I should ever let people know about this amazing place, and I guess it's time I should. Let me start that the moment you enter, you're greeted with a courteous and friendly person, who will always be smiling and find you a place to sit.

The place feels liked you've time traveled back to an era when customer service meant something. The place has comfortable seating even while you wait for pickup order or even just to be seated. Be patient, it's well worth the wait.

If you have amazing karma points saved up, then you'll be absolutely blessed to be served by Francine. What makes this server stand out? How about amazing service from just taking your drink order, to when she hands you the check? Postive smile, amazing personality, and just a very wholesome and friendly person to be in her presence. You'll wish every server you would ever encounter would be 1/4 as awesome she is. But that's just one of many amazing servers that work there. From the chefs, bussers, and cashiers everyone is pleasant and smiling.

So amazing servers, how's the food?

I can't give more than 5 stars or else I would. But everything on the plate is cooked just as you ordered. Granted I'm more of a pancake/waffles guy but absolutely amazing food. Sharing a plate? Not an issue. I can't emphasize enough how amazing and down to earth the staff here is.

When I visit my friends in the area, this place is absolutely where I want to eat breakfast with them. Too much food? They'll get you a to-go box.

Worth the drive from the Central Coast to eat here. Francine you are amazing!!! Thank you for world-class service at a mom and pop...

Pegah’s Kitchen in Escondido delivered one of the best breakfast and lunch experiences my family has had in a long time. From start to finish, everything about our visit exceeded expectations.

Let’s start with the pork chops: hands down, the best I’ve ever had in my life. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection—juicy on the inside with just the right amount of sear on the outside. Each bite was full of flavor and tenderness that truly stood out.

My kids ordered the biscuit Benedict, and the hollandaise sauce was outstanding. Rich, velvety, and packed with flavor—it complemented the fluffy biscuit and eggs beautifully. It’s rare that a classic dish like that surprises you, but this one absolutely did.

The turkey on the club sandwich was another standout. You could tell it wasn’t just deli meat—it had a depth of flavor and texture that made the whole sandwich feel elevated. The sourdough bread it came on tasted homemade—crispy, slightly chewy, and toasted just right. It was clear that every element was made with care.

On top of the fantastic food, the service was equally impressive. We were seated immediately, and our food arrived incredibly fast—something that’s not always the case at busy spots like this. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes.

Pegah’s Kitchen is the kind of place you instantly want to return to. It’s comforting, welcoming, and absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back—probably...

(Returned to California and was very disappointed with the food. It was burned and not tasty as before. Not sure what happened but it turned us off)

What a perfect breakfast spot for us! First and foremost we had the most angelic waitress in MaryBell. Marybell took such care in familiarizing us with the menu and was so kind and extremely accommodating. It's as if she read our minds before we ever needed to ask for anything. She felt like my family. The ambiance is lovely and family oriented. The food is absolutely delicious. We never wanted to venture out to find a different breakfast restaurant. We went almost every day we were visiting and enjoyed every bite. The only thing we missed was Marybell being our waitress on the Tuesday that we went. When we went on a Tuesday, we'd asked the assigned waitress if Marybell was there and we didn't like the snide remark of her saying "I don't keep up with her". I wish she did keep up with her so she could have removed herself and replaced herself with Marybell. Overall everything is an A. I would give a plus but the negativity of the Tuesday waitress wasn't pleasant. We will be going back when we return. Thank you for a wonderful...

A group of about 40 of us showed up hungry and ready! Francine and Alex were PHENOMENAL!!! I was so impressed by how quickly and efficiently the two of them handled our rowdy and never still group. The food was great and everything was wonderful! To the person who hired Francine Alex, you made the absolutely right decision! I had the biscuits and gravy which was delicious. The biscuits were extremely blain and dry which was disappointing. The gravy was full of flavor which helped with the biscuits, but not by much. My husband had the chicken fired steak and eggs which was very good! The gravy shined through that dish! A friend let me try the jalapeño hash which is now my absolute favorite!

I like this Pegah's better than the other one in San Marcos. The employees are nice here, and the art (paintings) on the walls are copies of famous pieces, all matching the same vibe and time period. I really loved looking at the art while eating. The food was good too. The potatoes were especially delicious. The restaurant was super busy when I came in on a Sunday morning, but shocking they got a table for 4 people within 15 minutes! Yay! Our total was $80 (before tip) for 4 adults. Expect to spend at least 20 bucks per person. The restrooms were pretty small and tight though...not really the most wheelchair accessible.
