Leo & Company — Restaurant in Essex

Every once in awhile a new foodie spot opens up and just nails it! Leo & Company just did it! I waited a bit before writing a review to see if it was consistent as I have become a repeat customer I can say it is. The sand-which, smoothie and salad service is of the the hook complimented by grab and go for the busier times of day. To say that, that is five star is an understatement but this not the only reason why I say it five star. The market is where it is at, offering Jerhico Settlers farm, Dandelion farm, red hen and da best local meet I have had yet!

I will be fair I thought this would be expensive and I was wrong. I compared it to hannafords and seriously within plus or minus 1 dollar for the same items which are not local at hannafords.

If you are into local at a reasonable rate, I feed my family of three on veggies, meat and bread for 54 bucks.

Everyone has an opinion and mine is I am stoked to have access to this food in a way that doesn’t take our whole paycheck! Thank you Leo...

Leo & Co catered a work event for my company today. I was not given accurate details on who would be attending, or if there were dietary restrictions. It all unfolded over the previous few days. Kayla and her team not only jumped in at the last minute (literally) to provide what was needed, but the food was absolutely amazing. Everyone was so incredibly happy. I had two employees that had very specific nutritional needs and they were both really pleased with their meals, and super grateful. One was a vegetarian who is tired of the usual "Hummus and Vegetable" generic sandwich, the other needed some alterations due to intolerances. She was so happy with the gluten free bread, best she's ever had, grateful to be able to eat a sandwich! Do not skip dessert!!! The brown butter chocolate chip cookies were amazing. This space has been converted from a cozy, packed-in health food store, into an open, yet still cozy, welcoming space. The layout of the design, dotted with plants, excites customers to relax and enjoy their food while simultaneously providing an ample amount of intimate space, inviting deep conversations and thought. The staff are solidly kind and hospitable, showing patience with new customers sometimes slamming them with questions about the menu. Leo & Company offer gluten free bread, as well as vegetarian and vegan options, making it the perfect place for folks with different food preferences to meet up.
