How is Ben and Jerry's still considered the creamee Vermont is known for?! Offbeat is the most refreshingly delicious ice cream that has ever landed on the chemoreceptors that make up my taste buds! For my vegan and gluten free folks, who often feel left out of the creamee outings throughout the state, this is the place to go! Not only is it the best tasting ice cream i have tasted, they also include healthy ingredients such as different fruits, herbs and spices that you have probably not tasted inside a creamee. Aisha is very creative and bold with the flavors she creates, this is why her lines continue to stretch along the block and why Landry Park has become more popular when their shop is open. In addition to this, this shop is known to give discounts to disadvantaged community members who stem from different parts of the world, especially during community events where their ice cream is free of charge. She sets a great example on the way BIPOC-owned businesses should give back to their community. Although their creamee may seem expensive, it is cheaper than other better known competitors and some of their profits makes the day of children who do not have the means to afford a creamee outing. Wow I think some of these reviewers have very little experience with vegan ice cream because this is the most disgusting vegan ice cream I have ever had. After paying $7 for 2 scoops, I literally threw it in the trash. Texture, flavor and sweetness level was bad. I had been craving good vegan ice cream after a recent trip to Portland OR where I had the actual best vegan ice cream at Eb and Bean. On top of their gross over priced ice cream the customer service also was abysmal and they will not tell you the ingredients of something you are putting in your body. Reality check “No one wants to reverse engineer your disgusting ice cream.” I know the founder of van leeuwen ice cream and he does video on how he makes his vegan ice cream and it’s so much better and like any trustworthy proprietor he is transparent about what is in his ice cream. Life-changing, vegan ice cream experience. Not only are the flavors sublime, texture creamy, the staff is very helpful and will let you put a couple scoops in a cone AND then top with creemee (maple and chocolate are best). It's a little overwhelming as a vegan, when you're used to one or two options; but to have ALL the options vegan, even the waffle cone, I mean, I wish I could give 10 stars. It was fantastic.
