Kingston 12 Jamaican Cuisine — Restaurant in Euclid

This food is absolutely disgusting. My friends and I tried this for the first time wanting some good food, now we understand why it’s one of the few Jamaican spots open on Sunday. Firstly the customer service was alright. We were greeted, and everyone was decent to speak to for the most part. My friends and I I gave this place a honest and thorough chance. Each of us spent over $30 each. I had the Jerk chicken, rice and beans, cabbage, a beef patty and I tried the oxtails. The rice was HARD. The jerk chicken has no flavor at all, they rely on the sauce for flavor, without the sauce the chicken is just cooked chicken, same thing with the oxtails, the oxtails were not tender in the slightest. The cabbage was edible but I personally did not like the flavor, it had a vinegar sour taste to it. For the amount of money we spent the food was horrible. Ultimately we wasted too much money for food that has no flavor. The Jamaican beef patty was decent, practically the only thing enjoyable to eat out of everything. I live in the area and had been seen this place so I stop in on a Friday a week ago..the girl she was nice.. I ordered half jerk chicken & half curry chicken, cabbage, rice n peas.. they was out of Mac, ..the curry, it looked watery, but she stirred it up, the jerk chicken was grill chicken from the back( where I couldn’t see) then squirt some spicy sauce on it… WHATTT..! See I knew better.. not to toot my own horn But I Dooooo Wayyyyy better when I make my on homemade Jamaican Food.. I asked her how is the food, she said good.. she eats here and IRIE JAMAICAN KITCHEN!! Eeeww that’s American Jamaican, to me not real.. I visited this place for the first time, not such a warm welcomeing atmosphere the wall was empty, the menu sitting outside the glass facing the Southside. The person working there was polite and have a professional conversation. But the the food the meat was too dark with a slightly bitter taste, the flavours was not too bad I purchased the curry goat which was supposed to be served with steamed rice instead I get rice and peas, anyhow everything including the rice was extremely spicy 🔥 I was very disappointed because I had to throw $17.00 in the garage. Would I recommend this place to anyone absolutely not. Will I ever go there again...
