UPDATE: Carlito's will make their vegetarian burritos dairy free! I love this place, but my daughter is sensitive to milk products, so I asked on a whim if he could do it and they are quite delicious! I, of course, still order the normal huge burrito, but I will still gladly finish even the dairy free burritos.

Carlito's Pupuseria embodies everything I look for when eating out. They are local, friendly folks that hand make everything and charge you a fair price for it.

I'm a vegetarian, so I opt for their vegetarian burrito every time I go ($6 gets a HUGE burrito), and in my opinion it is the best burrito in town. Now I don't claim to have eaten everywhere (my food budget is rather tight), but getting a massive tortilla full of beans, rice, lettuce, cheese, onions, and cilantro for $5 is simply amazing!

And now I'm second guessing my decision to write this review while hungry...

But back to the point, they do have a covered section if you want to hang out and eat at the truck, or even if you are swinging by to pick something up while it is raining, you don't have to wait in your car. They also have salsas, utensils, and napkins, so really everything you would need to be able to eat there.

Great place, I recommend them every chance I get.

Update: I recently got a burrito from Carlito's to go and thought I'd share some evidence to support my statement of getting a 'huge' burrito from them. Check out the photos! The burrito is just over 8 inches long and weighs in at 25oz on my postal scale.

Still my...

Update: still my go-to for pupusas in Oregon. Authentic, delicious, reasonably priced, sauce hot enough to make your lips burn ❤️‍🔥

This is the second time I've been to Carlitos and it was just as good as the first. I highly recommend both the bean and cheese and pork, bean and cheese pupusas. Be sure and get the cortido to top but be very very VERY careful with the hot sauce... it's truly spicy even for those who love spice. I recommend mixing it with the "El Salvador" sauce. I think it was the owner himself who served us this time and he was super sweet, even letting me practice my rusty...

Great value for some really tasty homemade food. The owner seems like a super nice guy that genuinely cares about the quality of his product.

I've tried his tacos, pupusas, and wet burritos. The tacos are extremely generous, the burritos are enormous, and the pupusas are wonderfully cooked and very addictive. His curtido also has nice flavor; no strange aftertaste like some other curtidos that I've had. My favorite meat that I've tried so far is the beef. It's difficult to not get the...

Searching for some good food in the area and came across Carlito’s Pupuseria so my friend and I decided to give it a try! We didn’t realize it was a small food truck stand but even late into the evening it was nice and cozy. I ordered the stead dinner and a cheese pupusa and it was phenomenal! The steak flavor was to die for, but the cheese pupusa? I’ll be go back for more.
