The food is still delicious as usual. But the management and staff need to get a better system for take out. There is only one line and no signage or direction about how to get your online order. I have gotten take out here at least 6 times since the pandemic started. It has always been a hassle and a waste of time waiting in line with others that are there that have not ordered food yet. Meanwhile my food is just sitting on the counter getting cold. The worst was last night at 5pm. I had ordered my food on Toast at 4:30pm. They weren’t that busy and only had three people in line ahead of me. The gentleman directly in front had also ordered online and was obviously confused why we had to wait with others that hadn’t even ordered yet. I told him this is how it’s always been since the pandemic and that it’s annoying. Usually a staff member comes out every couple of minutes and asks if you need a menu or ordered online. But last night me and this other gentleman waited ten minutes before his turn was finally up. Then I was next. For some reason two groups thought they could just cut in front of me (a couple and a single woman) because they ordered online. I got their attention and told them I ordered online too. They ignored me which was rude. After another 5 minutes of waiting I finally got the attention of a staff member and told them I ordered my food 30 minutes ago online and the confusion of the single line was causing people to cut in front. She gave no apology or any sign that there was a problem. My point is: Tacovore management needs to at the very least have a sign that says “go to the counter for online orders” or have a separate line for picking up online orders. It’s causing confusion and an unpleasant experience with your customers. You either wait online with everyone else that hasn’t ordered yet while your food gets cold or you look like a jerk cutting in-line. Be better Tacovore. I expect a response that this was seen and action taken. I will then change my review to 5 stars.
Edit: Thanks for responding. This is one of my favorite places to eat. I look forward to having a better experience with my take out order in the...
Read moreThis is our safe choice when getting together with a large group because they have meat, fish, veg, and tofu/tempeh and have never failed to get our order right. If you have allergies, dietary needs this is one of the safe choices in Eugene. Also plenty of seating and bathrooms. Even when lines are long and slow, we always manage to find seats. Fillings are overall clean, haven't had warmed over chicken or pork here, fish specials can be fishy but still not ever too bad. Tortillas are dinner plates so not a fan but you can't have everything. We used to frequent for a quick afternoon bite but stopped going mainly bc the fillings went from decent to scant. For the past year or so, every time we get fish tacos, the fish is the size of a fish stick or one of our fingers. Reminds me of Lulu's in Palo Alto/Los Altos, CA but possibly even bigger tortillas and much smaller portions. Good to know: they do take a long time, even when not crowded. So dont go when you are in a hurry. Drinks come out immediately so if you come on an empty stomach, wait to order that jalapeno margarita until you get your food. Even if table seems clean, do check your seats before sitting down for taco debris, have sat down in wet pickled onion/cabbage etc. Staff is always nice, but if there are rowdy patrons or large dogs indoor lunging at your basket of tacos, dont expect them to police. If you sit outdoors, know that dogs have been on...
Read moreWell I was vary happily surprised to find it not crowded what so ever in the middle.of the day but sadly I can't say I'm the most happy with my experience the tables where sticky and I politely asked for a rag to wipe my table and my feet down the waiter said that she would gladly do it herself and sadly failed at cleaning it what so ever if anything just put more stickiness and food on the table and dirty water also the menus and counters where also kinda grimy all of the sauces are left out on the counter to just get hot and fermented all day and is just a waist of Hopefully fresh ingredients Marisol Sosa was brown and really quite distasteful and almost smelled and tasted like dirty dishwater the chips where super good tho the tacos were different but not terrible I think they should of had a lot more greens in them and 2 tortillas would have been obviously best considering there meat was so greasy that it fell right out of the tortilla the single one they supplied there was a considerable amount of meat on them and was quite happy with the taste of the meat however there not the best at not putting some thing on that you specifically ask for not to be on it mine and my girls had things we asked not to have...
