11/7/21 updated review:
Okay. About those 2 stars? Yes, let me explain.
Today, I decided to bring my family here before church. I saw the line and figured it would move quickly now that they’ve been opened over a month. In and out, right? WRONG. I sat in this line for 20+ minutes. PLEASE, EULESS DUTCH BROS, WORK ON GETTING YOUR CUSTOMERS THROUGH THE LINE FASTER.
I found that once I finally got to the window, they were just at THAT moment making them. The lady at the window was friendly, I will make note of that. But I’m guessing that’s why it is taking so long, they are not making the drinks until you actually get to the window. Versus making them as they get entered into the kiosk and bringing them out to keep the line moving.
I’m so sorry for deducting three stars; however, I can NOT wait in line for 20+ minutes for coffee. There are too many coffee spots around here to waste my time like that ESPECIALLY on a Sunday morning when I’ve got to get the church on time!
I won’t be visiting again any time soon. I can bet the new PJs, which is right next to Dutch Bros, will make my drink way faster. OR I could just hit up 151/Dunkin/Starbucks/Native etc and be done with it. Like I said, there’s plenty of other coffee joints to waste time sitting in the drive thru like that ever again.
P.S. I do love my Golden Eagle. Don’t get me wrong, the flavor is great! But I don’t enjoy the wait time for it. ———————————
9/17/21- OPENING DAY!! Woohoo!! 5 stars!
There were a few employees standing at the beginning of the line, handing out the beloved DBC stickers (I was so happy!) and helping customers understand the menu. Then we drove up to the peeps with the tablets who actually took our order/payment.
I already knew I wanted an iced Golden Eagle and a kids milk chocolate for my kiddo! We're so happy Dutch Bros has come to town, we used to have to hold out for our Colorado trips to grab one. Not anymore!!!
The line was definitely backed up today, understandably so. There were quite a few people who didn't know what to order so it held up the line. Also, once we received our order the line was backing up because we had to wait for oncoming traffic to merge into. First day problems though, I'm sure it will get smoother as time passes and people start going more often, learning how DutchBros rolls and learning what they...
Read moreDisclaimer: I LOVE Dutch Bros, have been coming to this location for the last 8+ months, and have spent at least $200 dollars at this location over the last 60 days. I believe this makes me well qualified as a reviewer, but as always, YMMV.
TL;DR review - Great drinks, atrocious wait times. Plan on 30+ minute wait times in drive-thru even during off-peak hours.
This location is well located off of 183 and Industrial, between Industrial and Harwood. It's a newer location (opened in last 18+ months, I believe) and has a dual Y-lane drive-thru unlike some older DB locations.
The drinks are always fantastic here, both in quality and in order consistency. The employee's are equally fantastic, with great attitudes and helpful suggestions if you desire some help. I truly can't say enough about the drinks and people at this location.
Despite it's great location, delicious drinks and cool employees, I cannot recommend this location to anyone, even ardent DB diehards like myself, due to the atrocious wait times that have progressively gotten worse over the last few months. It does not seem to matter what time or day you go, unless there is literally no one in line ahead of you.
As an example, I went to this location this morning (11/16/23). I arrived at the drive-thru at 10:12 AM and left with my two drinks at 10:46, or a 34 minute total wait. There were about 7-10 cars ahead of me when I arrived for context. I spent 30+ minutes waiting in line each of my past two visits as well (those two visits being within the last 15 days) which is what finally prompted me to start timing my wait times.
I believe this will be my last time at this particular location, but I hope that y'alls experience may be different than mine. I also hope to one day become a regular here again if the wait times can be resolved. For now though, if you're pressed for time, I would think twice about visiting this location for you...
Read moreDutch Bros has been a bit of a conundrum for us since they've recently opened (about 2-3 months now).
My wife LOVES their iced green tea drinks (with the Double Rainbro flavor), but this place has also served me the grossest unsweetened iced tea I've ever had (by far). It was so horrible that we've made a little inside joke about it (I mean, how do you mess up unsweetened tea?) The best way I can describe it was unsweetened tea flavored with no sugar whipped cream (and I didn't ask for any flavoring, so that was really weird).
Another thing is the staff has been nothing short of fun, inviting, and helpful to interact with. BUT... they have a 2 lane drive thru queue that is HORRIBLE to experience when there's only 1 attendant.
For whatever reason, they just don't close the 2nd lane when someone leaves which creates situations like the associate ignoring one lane while focusing on the other or people simply cutting ahead of you in line. It's such a chaotic and frustrating experience (especially since you can't judge if it's happening until you're basically in line) that we're already avoiding this place a few months into opening.
If they can fix that queue situation then we might become regulars in the future, but... we're certainly never getting that unsweetened tea...
