What a cute place. The atmosphere is so cheerful and positive. The ceiling is decorated like it has clouds with an assortment of colorful umbrellas hanging. Just looking up brought a smile to my face. This place is a combination of a restaurant and a small store.
There were shelves of different food and handmade goods or novelty good for sale. Not a ton of stuff but plenty to walk around and peruse. Lot's of cute things.
To eat you can sit wherever you like. You order at their counter, they give you a table number and then bring your food out when it is ready. They have a self serve coffee station with different flavors and options of coffee to choose from. You can fill your cup as many times as you like and even take a cup to go if you so desire.
My partner unfortunately has to be gluten free. He was able to order a basic breakfast and choose a GF toast. They kindly put butter, cinnamon, and sugar on it for him as they were unable to make him french toast from it. They serve it with a smoked gouda grits and I must say they are some of the best grits we have ever tasted. The gouda was a very prominent flavor with some hints of pepper. Surprisingly good.
I ordered their quiche florentine and it was good and flavorful, full of seasoning. On the side was a bowl of grapes and cheese which I found to be more filling than I thought it would be just by looking at it.
Should I visit Eureka Springs again I would come back here but order the biscuits and gravy. I saw them on other people's plates and was regretting that I did not order it. They are nice big fluffy biscuits with the option of country sausage gravy or chocolate gravy. I'm not sure what chocolate gravy it but it looked like a chocolate sauce for sure. I assume it is probably a savory brown gravy if I had to guess.
Heck yeah to this place. Great atmosphere, positive vibes, good service, fast service, and easy to park...
Read moreI don't do too many reviews but I feel this needs to be done both as maybe some advice for the owner and suggestion to the customer. Starting with the good points: Customer service was great we were greeted as soon as we entered and given menus. The atmosphere of the place was very relaxed with music that was not too loud. The decor was bright and modern and well thought out for the effect they were going for. The place overall was very clean and in order. Now the other side of the coin: Let's just start with the idea that it appears to be a diner style establishment but is a counter service instead (no servers). All coffee and food served on Tupperware style cups and plates, maybe petty but can change the taste of drinks and food. Along with placing the order at counter, you pay before you receive your food and tip(why? with no server). As for the food, we had both ordered the 2 egg breakfast and when we got it, the portions were rather small for the price. I understand food can be expensive, however, we had breakfast at another diner the day before with more portions and less money. Also the food in general was pretty bland and if it is supposed to be sweet there was very little syrup on the pancakes. Overall I'm not trying to be hurtful, just trying to shine a light on things both parties might be interested to know and improve on and/or be advised what they...
Read moreCafe is cute but there is people living under it or beside it. Tons of junk and dog crap everywhere. Food was absolutely disappointing. Ordered a waffle and requested just butter and syrup. Received one small waffle with butter and syrup and whip cream on it. Did not ask for whip cream or condiments already on waffle. Requested another one bare with requested condiments on side. The waffle was not fresh it was frozen and microwaved and very small. Ordered a side of bacon and literally got 4 pieces of microwaved microwavable bacon all stick together in a clump. Terribly disappointing. Eggs tasted like soap because the plastic bowl it came in smelled like soap. The creamer at the coffee bar was not cold and it was sitting with the lid open flys flying around and it was sitting in melted room temp ice water. I also ordered a quiche and it tasted like it came out of the freezer and was microwaved. I was under the impression food would be homemade and unique and it was not. Very expensive and terribly disappointing. There was no adults or owners in the restraunt to speak with just young girls that did not give the impression that they were to concerned to hear a customer's concern. Ps owner is very rude and ugly when you leave an honest review about...
