This was quite the experience. Rooms were good, however what followed wasn’t. I had put my car on charge in the outside 120V outlet. Within about 5 mins, the lady at the desk disconnected the plug from the outlet. I went in, talked to the lady very nicely about it. She told me it was a hazard as someone tripped, so I asked her if she was okay, to which she said yes. She wanted to make signs so that it isn’t a tripping hazard, so I told her that it’s okay, and I just moved my car away, and we left for the evening without any troubles.
What followed ruined not only my evening, but also the evenings of our guests. Before dinner, the owner called me and was angry, and extremely loud and rude and said that a master electrician let her know that this was a fire hazard, and someone tripped on the wire and that I should’ve asked for permissions. I understood that I should’ve asked and kept very calm throughout this conversation and let her know that it was on me for not asking, and I totally understand. I also did tell her that charging from an outlet is like charging your phone, or like using any other 120V outlets. She told me that she is extremely upset, and said that she is glad I understood and hung up on me.
10 minutes later, she calls me back again and tells me that the police wants to talk to me. The officer told me that I am not to charge my car in her premises, and that he’d come check at night and knock if he found anything plugged in. I let him know that I haven’t been on the property since and I didn’t have any plans to either. Anyways, this was our experience here. My pregnant wife and all of our senior guests were so stressed they could barely sleep all night. The person in the front desk the next morning was very understanding of the situation and was extremely shocked that the police were involved for this. I am unsure what the initial lady conveyed to the owner, but this is how our evening panned out. Anyhow, this dulled everyone’s Eureka...

Read moreMy partner and I came here for our anniversary. It was our first time in Eureka Springs and we were just blown away by the kindness and amazing service of the staff at the Bavarian Inn. Ellen checked us in with a warm smile and kindness that is hard to come across these days.
The location was fantastic and close to everything. Our room was HUGE and very clean (honestly probably one of the cleanest places we have stayed). The whole place had a cozy feel to it and the nights were very quiet and peaceful. We loved the huge back porch and enormous jacuzzi!
Upon check out we met the owner, we had talked for over an hour. She was such an interesting and kind lady and she treated us like we were her family, even though we had just met. You can truly tell that she puts a lot of care into making sure her guests feel welcomed by her and her staff.
We absolutely plan on coming back to Eureka Springs and definitely will be staying at the Bavarian Inn again when we do, as the owner and all of her staff have made a very positive lasting impression on us!
Btw, if the owner does happen to read this.. thank you for getting my partner to kick his energy drink addiction. He has not had a single one since we talked about it with you!
and to anyone else reading this, please, book a stay here. You truly will not regret it. Most of the other guests we met during our stay have been return customers for a long time now and I feel that itself tells you everything you need to know.
Thank you for everything Jarka, Ellen and the rest...
