Poor lunch service. 1.5 hrs after, finally, taking our order, and there's still no food. The order had never even been put in. Paid for our drinks and left. Ate her a couple of years before and while it wasn't this bad, it wasn't great food either. Don't recommend at all.
In response to the business owners' response (quoted so that they don't weasel out and delete theirs) ... "I’m sorry you feel your experience didn’t quite meet expectations. However, considering we open at 11am and you and your party arrived at 12:15 and left at 12:30, I’m not understanding how you waited 1 1/2 hours. Also, the manager explained to you that it would be a few minutes before she could get back to you to take your order. She was able to get you and your table your drinks. When she came to take your order, you stated your were tired of waiting and were going to leave. She apologized and paid for your drinks!!!! We are a small business that pride ourselves on going out of our way to make our guests happy. You need to do better! "
You have no idea what you're talking about. We arrived just after the doors opened at 11 am. We were the 5th table seated; the only ones at the high-table near the stage until we left. We were able to get our drinks and order with the shorter waitress about 11:17. We waited AN HOUR until about 12:10 for our food (or even a wait-staff check on our drinks) when we had to go up to the bar and get the white-haired waitress' attention to see when we might expect to be served. She must have checked to see that the order was, indeed as we suspected but you confirmed it in your response, not been even entered yet. So, she must have entered it at your 12:15. THAT is where you're getting your "your party arrived at 12:15". We waited another 15 minutes or so to even get a response from THAT waitress about what to expect. Nothing. We weren't going to wait. We went up to notify them, again having to get someone's attention at the bar, and offered to pay for our drinks which she refused. SHE REFUSED. At least she had the customer service morals to know that it was the waitstaff (not really her, though) that was in error and did a small thing for poorly treated patrons. That's the timeline.
As for you, "owner", get your house in order. Judging from the other reviews just from today after mine it's clear your business was in disarray and your manager, and you as the sole person responsible at the end of the day should "need to do better". You were either fed poor/incomplete information, being lied to by your manager/staff, or just have no clue what you're doing. You get to pick.
Amazing how a restaurant owner chooses to admonish a patron of their business without knowing the actual facts as the first thing they do. Here's how you should have handled it, just in case, you know, you want to act like a professional and an adult ...
"Thank you for your review. We are concerned about the reported problems you had and wish your experience was better. Please reach out to us so that we may discuss what happened to make our service live up to our expectations in...
Read moreWent with family to eat. Everyone was hungry. Saw the 3% charge on door and at server's station to check in as well. NO WHERE... up front was it posted for 8+ there was a 18% charge. There was 3 on my amendient family and my son's family was 5. There was a group of 4 in front of us that had been told 10 min wait, to another 10 min and even another 10 min wait time (found out afterwards). Waited for drinks, then 30-40 mins for a menu (kids are hangry just trying to find something to eat), had to ask for kids menu (only one brought for 4 kids), another wait for appetizers and finally our meal. Then had to asked for silverware to eat food. Total time from the time seated was just under 2 hours. Food was nothing special to write home about. Server tried to keep up, struggled. Said she pushed our order through (later from couple of 4, found out 2 people didn't show up and kitchen shut down). Questioned the 18% was told new system and nothing that could be done. Even though 2 separate tickets. When leaving, searched at entrance to find 18% service charge, was told was on menu. Like I mentioned about everyone was hangry from car shows all day. Little distracted, then waited 30+ minutes to order, but had to ask first for menu, so didn't see. If I'd of seen up front 18%, I'd of walked out. That's a little ridiculous! If your going to put your wait staff in that situation after they've busted their butt, have them inform people before their order is taking. Some people maybe on a tight budget and just want a sit down meal. Not leave a bad taste in someone mouth. Like I say above, food wasn't nothing to write home about. My water never got filled, others were drinking Dr pepper and sweet tea. Sweet tea got filled once. Pitcher of Dr pepper brought to table for them to fill drinks. Nothing to experience but a sour taste. Won't be back. You can take your chance. As for the group of 4... said nothing like it used to be atmosphere and/or food. Tight space fo an individual in WC, if you have to go to a room, back room or bathroom. Doesn't compare to Black Bird. They haven't ever...
Read moreI was kind of excited to have dinner at the Rowdy Beaver Restaurant on route 62, purely because I liked the name. So we went on a week night in June,2023. We were seated quickly. We found that there is not an over abundance of room at the tables we were seated at. It actually effected the table next to us because there wasn't enough room. Now I know I could loose a few pounds, but that was not going to help. We ordered our food and that was the last time our server was at our table. Well until she brought the check. We watched her making the rounds. Just not near us. Someone else brought out our food. I could tell that this restaurant was definitely understaffed. While we were waiting, the wife used the restroom. She said that the design is poor at best. And it reminded her of a barn, but that was part of the decor. She said she had to put her purse around her neck to sit down. And there were other design issues pertaining to those things. The stall door had multiple issues. So our food comes out. It looked good. My entree' was hot and looked good. My two sides were both Luke warm, bordering on cold. One side tasted good and I ate it even though it was basically cold. The other side and the entree' had little to no flavor. I cannot believe how much salt and pepper I put on my dinner to give it some flavor. The wife said her's was basically the same. But she could not use a lot of salt to mask the lack of flavor. It was a shame because I was so into liking this place. Neither one of us finished our dinners. Although I did finish my soft drink. The decor was decent and kind of had a log cabin type of look going on. I found it nice and enjoyed my dinning experience in that regard. They had a little gift shop neat the entrance. As well as a store and bar adjacent to the restaurant. Anyway, we paid our check and were on our way. Now I don't want to say it was bad, because it was not. We just seemed to have an issue with the flavor of our dinner when we were there. So maybe consider trying it for yourself and decide. If anything it has a good name which made me wan to be there...
