We were in the area so decided to try something new. This restaurant is nicely decorated and gives all the Italian restaurant vibes down to parmesan cheese on the tables.
Menu is standard with lots of tasty options. We knew they had thin crust pizza and opted to share one. We ordered the Joe's Special which is similar to a supreme. Hubby added on a side caesar salad and we also ordered a 6 count toasted ravioli for an appetizer.
They offer a bread basket with butter and that arrived first. The bread was cold as if from the fridge and so was the butter. It was okay but nothing exciting. Note that there was also oil on the table in case you want to dip the bread. Hubby reports that the caesar salad was very good with a nice dressing. Toasted ravs were good, but the meat sauce served with them was cold as if from the fridge. I would expect it to be warm. Though I must call out that the plating of them was fabulous! The pizza was average. I didn't love it and expected more. This pizza has hamburger, pepperoni, onion, green pepper and mushroom. We were surprised the mushroom didn't appear fresh though the other ingredients did. I also ordered a side of ranch to dip my pizza in but it was terrible sadly... I didn't even end up using it after tasting it. If you've read any of my reviews you know I appreciate a good ranch and use it a lot.
Our service was amazing! Our server answered questions I had, was friendly and stayed on top of drink refills and checking on us. We really enjoyed it. I will point out when Hubby ordered his caesar salad he asked if they offered it in a small size and she said yes and that's what he received. We were also charged appropriately for it. A bit later customers behind us with a different waitress asked for the same thing and the waitress told them no it only comes in full size... so there may be difference experiences with different staff... or maybe a training opportunity here.
Overall, it wasn't okay, but just okay. I wouldn't come back with so many other good options around this location and in general...
Read moreOver all I liked it. The food is fantastic and were it just that alone I would give it 5 stars. However I was quite disappointed by how we were treated by the manager. We ordered our food in good orderly manner with no unpleasant behaviors on our part. Restaurant was semi busy but not to the point of lining out the door with pagers as they are equipped to handle I noticed.
We had a new and young waitress and I totally sympathized with her as who hasn't been new and not acclimated to the adult working life. My mother speaks quite clearly and pointed to an item in the menu on what she was wanting and somehow the waitress misheard and my mother was given a dish with shrimp on it. My mother has a dietary restriction against this and explained to our waitress. She apologized and proceeded to go about replacing it with the proper item.
Not a minute later the manager came aggressively to our table asking for clarification about our order to make sure that we asked for the right item. At that moment I wasn't sure she was mad at the waitress or us for some reason. But she made it quite clear it was us when she aggressively returned again wanting further clarification from my mother who by now had lost her appetite. After that she pointedly ignored us and never apologized even once. Customer isn't right in her book so I saw. The waitress on the other hand apologized on several occasions and made several trips to make sure we were happy and I truly felt sorry for her. I made direct eye contact with the manager not 4 feet away with another customer at one point who was holding a pitcher of water with an unspoken indication that I too would like a refill. I intentionally placed the glass to the edge of the table per respectful etiquette to get her attention. To this she tersely directed her attention elsewhere.
Needless to say, her very unprofessional attitude deserves 1 star. I do plan to return but I'll make it a point if I must to change tables to get a different hostess if I have the misfortune of getting...
Read moreWe chose this restaurant for a family get together (party of 6) based on the 4+ star rating, but I wish we would have read a few of the recent reviews first. The whole experience was disappointing, even taking into account we are very polite snd patient people who understand many places are understaffed at the moment. There was no host when we arrived and we figured out on our own how to get to the patio to find the rest of our party. We should have left when they let us sit for 20 minutes before offering to get us water/drinks. When the waitress did arrive we gave our drink order and told her we were ready to order our food, and she said she needed to bring us bread and butter first. Ok. Well she brought waters, 10 minutes later the wine, and she never brought the iced tea or the club soda we requested. We didn’t bother to ask for it as we just wanted to order our food. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time but unfortunately none of it was very good. The Capellini pomodoro was watery tasteless and the broccoli in it over cooked to the point of being mushy. The vodka sauce was tasty but that pasta came out cold. The side salads were just a pile of iceberg lettuce, 2 cherry tomatoes and shredded white cheese. No one came over to refill our waters, and our plates stayed on the table long after we were finished. Once the bill was dropped off we waited about 15 minutes for the waitress to pick it up and charge our card before we just put cash in it and left. No thank you, no have a great night. Oh well, at least we all had room to get ice cream at a lovely local shop afterwords. Overall, It seemed like no one was old enough to be working there and the ones who were very obviously could care less. I would avoid this place for the time being if you are hoping for a great meal and...
