Came here during a sale a while ago, only knowing my horses blanket size.. very kind man immediately came out to help, he was very patient with me and my and explained what everything meant and even took off the blanket on Trigger (model horse in the front) to show us the 2 blankets, we ended up picking one and we decided we wanted to look around. The man then offered to keep the blanket behind the counter for us as we shopped, I was surprised, but took his offer (blankets are heavy!!). We ended up with some Chicago screws, pullover bell boots and a coat aswell. The man was SO kind and even took the coat behind the counter aswell so we could keep looking around. The store was well organized and the customer service was amazing, was well worth the 40 minute drive from my town to this shop. We will be coming again!

I've been going to GHTS since I started riding horses when I was 8, so just shy of 10 years. I've never experienced anything but great service. You know that really weird thing you need that seems like wouldn't be carried in any store? Yeah, they've got it. You need a million different colors of braiding bands? Got it. Need a weird chemical your vet recommended to help with something you didn't even know was a thing? It's there. And not to mention their enormous selection of new & used tack. I've sold several saddles (and lots of other miscellaneous) through consignment and never had an issue, same with buying off of consignment. Lynn came out and fitted saddles to my horse, both new and used, and had very helpful advice on which would work best for me. I love it there, and any time I go out 44, I stop in. Update: The Golden Horseshoe is an amazing resource for the St. Louis community.  They are always there for me at a moment’s notice when my horse throws a shoe, and I need a boot or for emergency supplies when I just can’t wait. They’ve worked hard to get the store looking amazing and well organized.  Amazingly, I always find just what I need on consignment as well (it might be a bit magical).  I have also put many items on consignment, and the process is smooth, which helps me add to my tack fund.  They have started adding more and more great support and resources for the horse community, including informational talks, sponsorships, and more.
