So let’s get the obvious out of the way. This is a small place in a strip mall, catering primarily to a Mexican clientele. This isn’t an Americanized Mexican restaurant meant for the normal white bread masses. This is the kind of place that serves up tasty, affordable food to a working class clientele.

The menu is straightforward and offers a variety of tacos, burritos, tortas and more. You can order something basic like the chicken taco. You get a corn tortilla with shredded chicken and finely diced onions. It’s basic. It’s simple. But the magic is in how well it’s executed.

Haughty chefs and reviewers like to say things like “basic dishes are hard because there’s nowhere to hide. You have to do it really well!” And this is where you go to get basic food done really well!

I’ve been to fancy restaurants around the world. That’s fine. But sometimes you just want good, comforting food, at a reasonable price. This isn’t “impress your date”, it’s “this makes me happy”.

My wife loves the chicken quesadilla here and my mom says it’s her #1 taco salad choice.

Sometimes it’s the little out-of-the-way place that becomes the “every week” destination because they just do it right.

Do yourself a favor. Skip Taco Bell. Skip your fancy version of Mexican. Come here and try out the real day-to-day delicious that is my favorite...

A hidden gem!

What was ordered: •steak quesadilla •cheese quesadilla (both w/ refried beans and yellow rice) •Steak tacos •chicken burrito w/rice & refried beans • piña colada & strawberry aguas frescas (These drinks that are similar to a juice w/milk) it's really good! All the food was super good!!! The steak had a barbecued taste to it. It was perfectly seasoned. The rice was just right, not overcooked or undercooked👌 My daughter ate all her steak tacos. The chicken burrito was good. I didn't order it, but the comment is a personal preference of, it would have been preferred if the chicken was sauteed because it tasted fried, but was enjoyable regardless. None of it was left so that says something 😆 We would totally come here again! It's a cozy and comfortable spot. They do have their restrooms. In addition, to my surprise they have a dessert area where you can order an array of multi flavored popsicles sound delicious. Today, i went to eat there . I got a menudo, I ask the lady a question about the menudo. It seems like she got aggravated. Respond with an attitude. I asked her do the menudo have feet ? When I got the plate I didn’t see any feet and it doesn’t have any flavor just water. I told her, she got mad and rude. She didn’t let the cooker know. I also got a Gordita and the meat wasn’t good or cooked well. I am very disappointed because I got bad service, the food wasn’t good, and didn’t get an apology from her.
