I was so excited when Elianno’s was coming to my area. I told all my friends about it. I am an avid Elliano's coffee drinker from Jacksonville and I would always stop at the Lake City location on the way to visit my daughter in college. And to throw things way back, I use to frequent the Elianno’s location that was located in Casselberry Florida. I was so sad when they closed down. The first couple of times I went to this Eustis Elliano’s the drinks were made just as good as I remembered them to be. But I’d say the last six times we’ve gone our drinks have not been made up to par. They are extremely too bitter!!! Now listen, I love a good strong coffee. I enjoyed my coffee when I visited Italy, but I couldn’t even take a sip out of these drinks because it was literally like swallowing motor oil. Of course I would mention it to the baristas and they would say “well we made it right, would you like one less shot?” I said no, I want it made the way that it suppose to be made. There is NO consistency in the drink making. I gave them a few weeks to try to work out their kinks, but they still are making them way too strong. I told the lady read your reviews because I’m not the only one saying this. I said your espresso machines need to be calibrated correctly maybe. They said they had someone from corporate come out and check them. She says they are operating correctly, but I beg to differ since I am very familiar with Elliano’s coffee at various locations. If the machines are working correctly, maybe it is operator error and more training needs to be done. Sad to say, I won’t be frequenting this location anymore. I really wanted to support this new business but I can’t keep flushing money down the drain on bad coffee. And I do agree with the other reviews about it being tacky to ask for a tip. None of the other Elianno’s locations ever did that. Not to say the baristas shouldn’t be tipped when a customer wants to tip them, but I don’t think it should be asked. There was one week where I came almost every other day still trying to get that perfect cup of coffee, and every single time I was asked if I wanted to give a tip. If I gave a tip every single time I went, I’ll be standing in the unemployment...
Read moreupdate I love their coffee, my first experience was definitely a fluke. I will gladly go out of ny way to get my coffee here if i can. The staff is great and the carmella hot, iced, or frozen is definitely a great choice.
(Original review below) So, it's my first time trying Ellianos Coffee, and I'm torn. I went through the drive-through, and the lady taking orders was very nice and helpful. I ordered a large Carmella hot. As I was driving, I went to try and drink my coffee but wasn't getting anything. I could feel how hot it was (extremely hot BTW) so I was trying to drink it slowly. after not getting any coffee to come out (without tipping it back much farther than I expected), I took the top off while at a stop light. what I found was that I got a coffee that was only half full plus a little foam on top, making it appear as two-thirds full (see picture). This was very disappointing. With that being said, once I started drinking the coffee, I found it delicious. The coffee used in the foundation of this drink was good as opposed to what i'd get at starbucks ( I personally think Starbucks coffee used in their drinks to be very bitter). Bottom line, I'm going to give them another try but I'm going to make sure that I get a whole drink next time rather than a small drink poured into...
Read moreI’m a little torn about Ellianos, today was my first time trying one. First off, I was surprised by the coffee and it’s actually really good. I’d say the coffee is definitely better than Scooters, Foxtail or Starbucks, but not as good as Nautilus or GroundUp. The refresher I got was a very basic redbull with syrup added, nothing special.
The customer experience and service was absolutely terrible and even though the coffee made me want to give 5-stars, the customer service made me want to give a 1. The lady at the window didn’t know answers to simple questions like, how many ounces is the large? Which she ended up giving a wrong answer after asking someone else, lol. She was also very quick, no smile, no greeting, asked for a tip, then shut the window while drinks were being made. Couldn’t tell what she was doing after she shut the window, but looked like she was on her cell phone while standing behind the window.
The drinks did come out quick though. And if I’m traveling by an Ellianos out of town, I’ll definitely go. Or maybe on Sundays when...
