Well let's start here it's expensive. Everything is Ala Carte. I spent about $85-$90 on a rib/link, pulled pork, chicken & shrimp gumbo, mac & cheese and Cajun veggies & Grits.
The smoked ribs were good it was about 6-7 tips the link was a hot turkey link not pork it wasn't good for me. Not sure why they paired that together. When I get pork I'd expect it all to be pork. They don't serve fries or bread so no sides with this.$16.50
The muffins are $3.00 if you need bread.
The mac & cheese was great. 16oz for $14
The pulled pork was good and tender, however it was sitting in alot of grease. Perhaps if they put a piece of bread at the bottom that would soak up the grease. I actually took the link off the bread and used that bread for the pulled pork. They don't give bread for the pulled pork only the actual sandwich. $11.00 /half pound
The Cajun Veggies and Grits were great per my sister she is vegan. $12.00
The Chicken Gumbo my husband wasn't a fan of no particular reason he just didn't like it. $14.00 +5.00 to add 3 shrimp.
4oz bbq sauce $4.00
Bottled tea $3.00
They don't have regular soft drinks in a bottle or machine. It would be a plus to have regular soda as an option.
The place was indoors with an outside setting picnic tables etc. It was cold so wear a coat inside. There is no wait as well. There are 4 doors and the door that is the actual entrance stays open when people don't close it so we had to get up twice to close the door. We went in the kicthen door at first so they need to have better instructions on what door is the entrance. It's not clear to guest. It's quiet no music or ambiance and perhaps a heater would help so we wouldn't have to eat with coats on.
There was a gentleman who waited on us and he was very pleasant and informative and even wanted our feedback. I would say overall it was expensive, but because he was pleasant it made the experience not so bad.
I Googled restaurants near me because I was 2 min away and that's how I ended...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the first time Iām posting a negative review (on behalf of my wife) and Iām doing so because I donāt want this to happen to you. Unfortunately, five weeks after reserving a date with Soul & Smoke (sister company of Feast & Imbibe) to cater our 4th of July weekend event, they informed me that they can no longer cater for us. To make matters worse, they shared this news with me via email. I had been waiting for their final contract, which I was told would take 2 weeks. When I never received the contract, I sent an email. Four days later, they responded with āUnfortunately, we canāt cater your party because we are busy opening 2 new restaurants and canāt book any more events this summer.ā Wasnāt I already booked? I know many businesses are struggling with staffing and supply chain issues; however, Soul & Smoke had discussed every detail of my event, down to how many tables we would need and assured me they could cater it. They wasted 5 weeks of my time that I could have been searching for another caterer. I have worked with many businesses over the years and have never experienced anything close to this. I can't believe they canceled, and I especially donāt understand how they could do so via email. This was worthy of a very apologetic phone call!! I now have 100+ guests coming to my house for an event on one of the busiest weekends of the summer and have no caterer! My hope is that by sharing my experience, this will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow, talk about passive aggressive staff... so I ordered a LEAN brisket sandwich from Smoke and Heat (I LOVE this place, order from it all the time, and regularly sing it's praises to people) ... that said, the last time I ordered from them they forgot to put the sauce on (their sauce ROCKS) ... so I called up while they were making it and said "please ask the cooks to make sure to put sauce on it because last time they forgot. Also I asked for lean so please make sure it's lean" .... so what arrived?? ... almost no sauce on the meat but a thing of sauce on the side... and the FATTIEST slices possible... one slice had a bit of meat on either side so that if you didn't open the bread you'd think it was meaty... but the middle was a massive -- like 2 inches square, am NOT over stating it -- slab of solid fat -- the sort of thing any halfway decent cook would cut away. You can't NOT see what you're doing... so I'm pretty sure the cook was laughing when putting the thing together... Another slice was bits of meat encased in fat, so the final sandwich was 50 meat/50 solid basically inedible fat... I have health issues, diabetes, fatty liver, etc., ordering this sandwich was a reward for having been a good girl for a solid month (and I had a blood test this morning). I ended up pulling all the bits of meat and fat apart with my fingers and reconstructing it... So while I LOVE their food, the owner REALLY needs to get fierce...
