Well let's start here it's expensive. Everything is Ala Carte. I spent about $85-$90 on a rib/link, pulled pork, chicken & shrimp gumbo, mac & cheese and Cajun veggies & Grits. The smoked ribs were good it was about 6-7 tips the link was a hot turkey link not pork it wasn't good for me. Not sure why they paired that together. When I get pork I'd expect it all to be pork. They don't serve fries or bread so no sides with this.$16.50 The muffins are $3.00 if you need bread. The mac & cheese was great. 16oz for $14 The pulled pork was good and tender, however it was sitting in alot of grease. Perhaps if they put a piece of bread at the bottom that would soak up the grease. I actually took the link off the bread and used that bread for the pulled pork. They don't give bread for the pulled pork only the actual sandwich. $11.00 /half pound The Cajun Veggies and Grits were great per my sister she is vegan. $12.00 The Chicken Gumbo my husband wasn't a fan of no particular reason he just didn't like it. $14.00 +5.00 to add 3 shrimp. 4oz bbq sauce $4.00 Bottled tea $3.00 They don't have regular soft drinks in a bottle or machine. It would be a plus to have regular soda as an option. The place was indoors with an outside setting picnic tables etc. It was cold so wear a coat inside. There is no wait as well. There are 4 doors and the door that is the actual entrance stays open when people don't close it so we had to get up twice to close the door. We went in the kicthen door at first so they need to have better instructions on what door is the entrance. It's not clear to guest. It's quiet no music or ambiance and perhaps a heater would help so we wouldn't have to eat with coats on. There was a gentleman who waited on us and he was very pleasant and informative and even wanted our feedback. I would say overall it was expensive, but because he was pleasant it made the experience not so bad. I Googled restaurants near me because I was 2 min away and that's how I ended up visiting.

I have never ever seen anyone call something that was SWEET…Cajun! I am Extremely disappointed. I LOVE shrimp and grits so whenever I find a place that sells them I am literally on the first thing smoking to try them out. Imagine big juicy shrimp perfectly seasoned surrounded by onion, chives, cheese, and sausage inside of, wait for it… SWEET GRITS! Yes the grits had sugar in them 🤢 And lots of sugar. Idk if they put it in their rue or what but It was disgusting. I totally looked past the fact that the grits also had corn and celery in it. I could have dealt with corn and celery, however the sweet grits were a NO! I could not eat the shrimp alone because it still had the sweet taste on them and threw the entire Cajun flavoring off!! If you’re looking for Cajun shrimp with SWEET grits this is the place for you as I know that there are people who prefer butter and sugar in their grits. However, once you throw in Cajun and all the other seasonings and flavors it just doesn’t mix. Sorry not sorry. If you’re looking for actual Cajun shrimp and grits…save your money. You’ll thank me later! •Mac & cheese I wasn’t crazy about (small side order) •The greens had a nice flavor (small side order) •The Cajun salmon was ok I wanted to try the jerk chicken skewers but they didn’t have any which by the way I’m glad they were out. The prices here are way too high for mediocre. I’m glad I supported the business, but I won’t be back. It wasn’t for me

My soul is crushed. I have never been so displeased and disappointed with a meal in my entire life. I’m an artist, so I like to be careful how I critique others ‘art’, but I have to speak on this, because my soul is crushed and my stomach is angry. I spent $45 on the brisket/Mac & Cheese/Collard greens meal. Four Tee Five Dollaarrzzzzz only to receive two-textured brisket (soft & crumbly) with no fat (I ordered fatty brisket), that taste as if someone accidentally dropped a container of salt on it and tried to wipe it off. I almost threw up in my mouth when I tasted the collard greens because the turkey they used is old and smelly. The mac & cheese tastes like the cook started to make scallop potatoes but then said uh uhn! Nope! I want to make Mac & cheese. The dirty rice tastes like celery and 2 containers of black pepper. I’ve had it rough the last few weeks and all I wanted was some comfort food… soul food, but instead I received a dish that had no passion, no love, not a nam foot put in it, no damn soul. I’m hurt. Frustrated. Hungry. Ready to flip ish over. $45, G. 😩🗣️ I can’t even talk about this anymore. Lawd hammercy, my soul & stomach hurt. What am I to eat now?

This is the first time I’m posting a negative review (on behalf of my wife) and I’m doing so because I don’t want this to happen to you. Unfortunately, five weeks after reserving a date with Soul & Smoke (sister company of Feast & Imbibe) to cater our 4th of July weekend event, they informed me that they can no longer cater for us. To make matters worse, they shared this news with me via email. I had been waiting for their final contract, which I was told would take 2 weeks. When I never received the contract, I sent an email. Four days later, they responded with “Unfortunately, we can’t cater your party because we are busy opening 2 new restaurants and can’t book any more events this summer.” Wasn’t I already booked? I know many businesses are struggling with staffing and supply chain issues; however, Soul & Smoke had discussed every detail of my event, down to how many tables we would need and assured me they could cater it. They wasted 5 weeks of my time that I could have been searching for another caterer. I have worked with many businesses over the years and have never experienced anything close to this. I can't believe they canceled, and I especially don’t understand how they could do so via email. This was worthy of a very apologetic phone call!! I now have 100+ guests coming to my house for an event on one of the busiest weekends of the summer and have no caterer! My hope is that by sharing my experience, this will not...

Wow, talk about passive aggressive staff... so I ordered a LEAN brisket sandwich from Smoke and Heat (I LOVE this place, order from it all the time, and regularly sing it's praises to people) ... that said, the last time I ordered from them they forgot to put the sauce on (their sauce ROCKS) ... so I called up while they were making it and said "please ask the cooks to make sure to put sauce on it because last time they forgot. Also I asked for lean so please make sure it's lean" .... so what arrived?? ... almost no sauce on the meat but a thing of sauce on the side... and the FATTIEST slices possible... one slice had a bit of meat on either side so that if you didn't open the bread you'd think it was meaty... but the middle was a massive -- like 2 inches square, am NOT over stating it -- slab of solid fat -- the sort of thing any halfway decent cook would cut away. You can't NOT see what you're doing... so I'm pretty sure the cook was laughing when putting the thing together... Another slice was bits of meat encased in fat, so the final sandwich was 50 meat/50 solid basically inedible fat... I have health issues, diabetes, fatty liver, etc., ordering this sandwich was a reward for having been a good girl for a solid month (and I had a blood test this morning). I ended up pulling all the bits of meat and fat apart with my fingers and reconstructing it... So while I LOVE their food, the owner REALLY needs to get fierce...
