UMe Tea — Restaurant in Evanston Township

This product is delicious and packaged so cute! We ordered the brown sugar oolong tea (70% sugar), the mango pamelo sago (regular sugar), the osmanthus longan green tea slush (regular sugar), and the medium spicy takoyaki.

The mango drink and the osmanthus tea is SO good as is. Highly recommend them.

The brown sugar oolong tea is standard. Not exceptional. But at least you can taste the tea!! That's better than many tea shops where it just tastes like milk, so I'm happy with that.

I loveeee the takoyaki!! Perfect spice level too. I can taste the medium spice without it overpowering my taste buds.

The cups are really nice too!! They have a great feel. They're recyclable (so make sure to recycle them!!) or keep them because they're that nice.

Customer service was okay. The main lady who packaged the drinks and gave me my order was lovely! She took the time to make sure I knew which drink was which and asked if I needed anything else.

But there were so many people working and kind of standing around. The back work station was kind of messy and the front sitting area needed to be wiped down. It kind of kills the kawaii theme when things are dirty/messy. It would have been nice to be greeted by someone when my daughter's and I came in. Exceptional service would've made me more inclined to buy the cute bunny products, but it just kind of turned me off. I hope when I return this improves so it can...

Ume Tea was actually disgusting. The bathroom smelled gross and the floors in the hallway were very sticky and I could feel my shoes sticking to the ground. My friend ordered a brown sugar boba - caffeine free and it was literally 95 percent milk and 5 percent boba. The brown sugar wasn't even there. I ordered a lychee-watermelon tea and it tasted like watered-down watermelon juice with chunks of lychee. The boba was't even there. We also ordered the crinkle-cut fries and it was not even seasoned and had no flavor. We were originally supposed to order the curly fries that it said on the TV, but on the menu, it wasn't there. Why advertise something there if it isn't...

First the tea: I had the peachy watermelon iced tea and it was just alright. It's not bad but all you can taste is peach, both the green tea and the watermelon are completely muted. I ordered a default drink meaning no change to sugar or ice but the drink came with no ice.

Service: The service here was pretty hit or miss, there were 2 employees who did not acknowledge me and after a few moments said to use a tablet which was placed away from the register by a group of people sitting.

Atmosphere: It's a nice little space, the front of house was clean but there looked to be a closet open to one side and the kitchen looked cramped with toppings sitting...
