The food is delicious, but be wary of overcharging!
I tried Soulwich for the first time today. I ordered a sandwich and two sides. Based on the prices I saw on the menu, I expected the total to be $12-13, but the total came to $16 something. I brushed it off as a possible miscalculation on my part and also because I dislike confrontation.
As I was waiting for my order, I overheard another customer expressing confusion and pushing back about an unexpectedly high total. I didn't manage to hear how the problem was resolved.
A little later, I tried punching in the same order on their online ordering platform and the total came to $12.32. It seems clear to me that the cashier was definitely putting in the wrong prices.
I really want this restaurant to succeed because the food is good and I appreciate their vegetarian options. However, their dishonesty around prices is giving me pause. One solution: order online for pickup so you can see the itemized...
Read moreI agree the sandwiches are very good. I rating it low because on more than one occasion I’ve driven several miles and paid to park only to find they were closed at lunch time due to a catering affair. The other time they posted in the window they would be closed a couple of weeks for Christmas but be opened on January 10th. Each time checked there website prior to going there i it said they were open., they even had a sign in the window saying we’d be open on January 10th. The parking isn’t easy there and you have to pay the meter. I don’t think you run a businesslike that especially right around the corner just a block North there’s a Vietnamese sand which shop they serves the same delicious sandwiches, salads etc. same menu and just as good. Plus they’re more reliable which is important when you meet a lot of friend there and they aren’t open. Give the Vietnam Nom sandwich place a chance you’ll be just as impressed. It’s my new favorite...
Read moreThis place serves up really flavorful, unique tasting sandwiches. It manages to effectively and creatively blend asian flavors into a sandwich. Initially, I wasn't sold on this concept, but having tasted their sandwiches, I'm a believer.
The Indonesian sandwich has a great blend of power packed flavors that will leave you wanting for more after each bite. It can get a bit messy to eat because of all the sauces that are packed into this little sandwich. They do their own chips as well and they taste great. A little on the oily side but definitely not overly salted. A great compliment to the tasty sandwich.
There isn't much seating available so I've noticed that most people do take out. There is convenient, affordable street parking right in front of the shop, if you can find...
