GiGi’s Coffee House — Restaurant in Evanston

I grew up in Evanston and they way I remember it, if you paid for service you would receive that service. I did not! I had called Ana to set up a coffee dilvery to be delivered to my grandmother house after the funeral services for my uncle. I explained how this was important to me since I was stuck in Chicago and not able to attend the funeral. I paid $50.00 for only 2 things of coffee( one decafe and one regular) long story short the $50 came out of my account but the coffee was never delivered! Unfortunately just getting my money back (which I have yet to receive, Or yet to hear from Ana) will not take back the embarrassment of telling my whole family I will help out by getting this covered and then NOTHING showing up. Wonderful discovery in Evanston. We ate delectable tamales, green chile & eggs for breakfast there on our way to Kemmerer, and grabbed dinner on our way back, including more tamales, both savory and dessert, to take home and freeze for later. Full coffee menu, pastries, an amazing selection of the finest tamales I have ever had, wonderful personable service, and a fabulous fresh juice bar, to boot! We'll definitely make our way back up there! Definitely a place to visit regularly if you're even remotely close, or passing through. Wish there was something like this in SLC. What a great find!!! We visited this coffee shop for breakfast driving across the country. It was so worth it! We ordered a variety of juices, smoothies, burritos, breakfasts and coffee drinks. Everything was hand made and of the highest quality. It was impressive to see the owners working so hard! The juices and food were as good as it gets. Coffee was strong and flavorful. I was really surprised at all the little details they put into the food and decorum of the shop. Great music was playing as we waited for our food. Even the sticker over the spout on the to go lid was a piece of art. I will never forget...
