Captain D's — Restaurant in Evansville

So I went to this Covert Ave location last night made a review and it has been deleted I'm guessing...... So here it is again with today's events!! 8:30pm 01-19-2022 I go to get my family food! Had an item missing from the bag. I get my missing item. Only to get home and the Gumbo was ICE COLD and only one of the orders had the rice in it...! I called and asked How the hell do you sale ice cold gumbo??

I stopped in today for a refund and was disrespected by the 2 employees that weren't even working last night (01/19/2022) because the lady from last night lied to them I'm guessing. Saying that I called there cussing at her!! All I asked was "How the hell do you sale ice cold gumbo and wouldn't give her my name"....

So Larry comes from the kitchen looks a my receipt then throws it at me. Writes only my last name (not the problem) in their log book and with a nasty attitude and says I'll put you down for 2 meals. (I say Thank you) the next statement is. "Which is more then what you paid for", a long with cause we're about to end gumbo anyways, the whole time with his nose turned up!?!

So to end this... I appreciate the young lady in Kentucky for giving me the GM's information so that I can contact her and I appreciate Miss Mathis taking care of me after the fact that two of their employees did not give me a chance to speak on the situation and had already prejudge the whole situation!! Covert Ave location needs either a whole new crew or some more training because they aren't there to keep a great company in business.. They only there for whatever they can get for free after closing each...

On August 30, 2020 around 3:20-3:30pm.....We were at the drive-thru to place an order. After giving my son's order, the lady who was taking our order said, will that be all? I told my husband to tell her there were 4 of us (so she wouldn't ask after every item, "is that all?") So he did......she let out a HUGE sigh. Really?? We are driving a 6 hour trip home after attending my sister in laws funeral. We just wanted some seafood before making the rest of our trip home. My husband drove around to the front so I could go in and say something to the manager. Guess who was the manager? Unbelievable. So unprofessional. I asked her for the number to corporate and she said it was on the door. It wasn't. I took a picture. I looked on all the doors and the drive thru window. I asked her if that was her name on the door, too, since she was the manager. No response. I WILL get a message and phone call to corporate. I have the address and pics of the door. Beyond inappropriate to treat customers this way when your business is in the customer service industry. Also.....you don't know what someone has just been through in their...

I eat here often and have only ever had one mishap, with forgotten sides. The service has always been good and the food mostly decent. If it isn’t, they’ve always been accommodating and willing to fix it.

Tonight, however, was different. Had this been my first time eating here, you’d have lost me completely as a customer. From here on out, I’ll stick to fish, or go elsewhere.

I picked up dinner for my son. I ordered a 4 piece chicken meal for $11.09, that comes with two sides. He got garlic fries and Mac and cheese. I also ordered a medium drink. When I went to pay, I was charged $17.46. Upon further inspection, I was charged an additional 99 cents for each side, even though it comes with two sides. Nowhere does it specify, that there’s an up charge for sides. I get the food home to him, only to find this is what he got. You all are really out here calling nuggets tenders and charging $13.09 for this crap?! I can get a Happy Meal from McDonald’s with more food in it! After spending $18, I now have to feed him again, because this crap isn’t feeding anyone!
