G D Ritzy's — Restaurant in Evansville

Went through the drive through 7/10/21, ordered 3 pints of ice cream, steam veggies, fries, grill chicken, tomato and pickle only, and a med Pepsi. The order was repeated with a cheeseburger, which was corrected at the window verbally. Got home and all was correct except we had a cheesburger with onion, I took the cheeseburger back, they directed me to the door, then laughed at me when I tried to go in, then I waited again in the drive through, got to the window they we’re still laughing, I asked to speak to the manager and she was very rude, when I complained, I had to ask again for the grill chicken, tomato and pickle only, they finally gave it to me and no apology, nothing except saying see ya, what a joke of a manager and staff! The west side is pretty small and we’ve been going there for years, so now I’ll tell everyone I can think of about the treatment I got with the manager and staff. @gdritzys Nostalgic on many fronts; my Ritzy's adventure was great.

I worked at the Ritzy's in Aurora, Colorado in the early 1990s.

This location had identical layout, both in the dining room and behind the counter. Even the flooring and carpet was the same. It was as if I were time traveling. A tear came to my eyes.

The food was fresh and amazing. The old fashioned chocolate soda was delightful. I had cheddar fries. And a double ritz with cheese. And a cherry Sprite. In a basket!

I made a special one and a half hour out of my way trip to come here. I drove straight from Denver here. An adventure.

My wife and I were getting our car serviced next door at Lucas Oil. We had just been stranded with a dead battery in 90 degree heat. I suggested that we walk on over to GD Ritzys and make an unpleasant experience get better, hopefully. GD Ritzys made a 66 year old man a hero❤! The girl that served us was awesome, she knew we were hot and stressed. She was so professional in explaining their covid restrictions and my 68 yr old wife and I enjoyed two delicious cheeseburger baskets in the shaded picnic table behind the building and the man that was cleaning everything in sight made sure we had ketchup and napkins even while the drive-thru lane was...
