Lic's Deli & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Evansville

We go here all the time today was a horrible visit. I put in my order it was right on the screen. I was talking to my grand kids as the young girl made my order she gave my grand kids their ice cream cone which were right. When she gave me mine and my bfs they were wrong so i told her what they were supposed to be. She got mad and started remaking them this time i was watchibg her and again she started making them wrong i was nice and said excuse me hon but thats not right and i told her what they were supposed to be. So she gets an attitude and starts throwing stuff around. She goes to making them again during this whole ice cream sat in one of the cone she finally gets and hands them to me the uce cream at thus time was melted and it was a complete mess ice cream was dripping all over me and the floor. Bc of her attitude now i am upset. Since my hand was covered in melted ice cream. The older lady who was there asked uf she could help me bc i asked for a managers number. The young girl started cussing and acting like a fool. So i asked the older lady if she could pull my order up on the register bc my order was right on the screen. She said it was ok and made me another cone. I dont know what is going on with the lics on weinbach and washington but if my grand kids wouldnt of been there i wouldnt of been so nice abt the situation. Mistakes r made and i didnt have a problem that the girl messed up but dont start cussing and throwing stuff and acting like a fool when its ur mistake not mine. I checked my order in the screen. There were kids in the store and not just my grand kids but other kids too. If u dont know how to control ur mouth u shouldnt be working...

I really enjoy the food and ice cream at Lic's, but the past few times I have gone, they are closed way before their hours have them listed as closing. I specifically searched the hours before driving there, they are listed as open, and i drive there only to find the door locked and the employee inside shook her head "no" at me to indicate they are not open. I really love this restaurant just wish the hours were accurate!! Only other negative i would say is the employees seem very indifferent in attitude and like you're inconveniencing them by being there and making them actually do their jobs. I really hope they correct these small issues because Lic's is a longtime...

Food is crazy expensive for a little mom and pop shop. Deli meat is not good quality. You get a hand full of grippo chips as your side which come from a box that has about 100 servings in it. You will pay $2 plus dollars for that side and the entire box cost this place $5.00. Milk shakes are crazy expensive and purposely only filled 2 full inches from the top so remember when you get one it will only be half the size of the cup. They are also very watery. More like a chocolate milk consistency instead of a normal milkshake you get from anywhere else. They will make it thicker but that will be an extra charge for a thick shake which is the norm at all other places...
