Our first time trying out the new location and we were so disappointed that we'll just go to the other Olive Garden next time. There were so many things wrong... every aspect of our experience was just bad. Our server was so slow and you could tell she was really struggling. I felt bad for her but we sat there a long time with nothing, no drinks, no refills... no salad, no bread... no check...we were always just waiting. I ordered my chicken Alfredo with the brocoli on the side and it came mixed right in. I had a hard time picking it out but I don't like my Alfredo tasting like broccoli but I still want a healthy side. Not to mention my food was cold. The pasta was way too al dente, so much that it was sticking together and half the plate was just pasta, no sauce at all. The alfredo was so thick, almost like a paste. As an appetizer they were very skimpy with how much they put in the dish. We had to ask for more and it came the same every time with just a little thick puddle in the dish. Next, the atmosphere is chaos. It was loud in the room we sat. We were sat facing the kitchen door (see pic) and there were so many people going in and out it was very chaotic and should not be in the same room or in view of people eating. This was a poor design choice. It was just so noisy and busy with staff shouting "coming in" before barging through the door. I did not like this room and hopefully the other rooms are better and more relaxing but I wouldn't know. Our server never even did bring the check. We waited over 15 minutes just to ask for to go boxes and drink refills, which was the only refill we got for the night. I ended up paying on the table computer and it was out of ink so it just spit out blank paper. I left almost a 30% tip (almost $20) at the East side Olive Garden the last time we were there and would have done the same here if we had gotten the same wonderful service. I ended up leaving 16% (over $9) and only because I felt badly for her sweating like she was but she didn't even deserve that amount imo. I will say the waitress serving the tables all around us was on top of everything at all her tables and wish we had gotten her. Several times she just looked at us waiting and waiting with empty glasses just sitting there waiting for our own waitress. Needles to say, we did not enjoy our meal here. We even waited a while before trying this location because we knew there would be kinks to work out but it's been a while now and we expected better...
Read moreOur first visit to the "new" West side location..... We waited to go so the bugs would hopefully be worked out. NOT a good first impression . We were sat right away but.....as the hostess was walking us to our table she said " this room is just a little chilly. We sat down. Little did we know, she meant to say. It's extremely freezing cold in this room!!! My husband and I got our jackets from the car and ate with them on. ( hoods on too, it was that cold). The people behind us had the server feel his hands because they were so cold. The server said the room facing the expressway in front of the building is cold, the room beside the bar, and on the west side is hot and room in the middle is comfortable. It was miserable the whole time. It took the server some time to get to us. Actually, another server came by after seeing us sitting there for a while to get a drink order. Our server was very friendly and nice. We decided to just get soup and salad. The soup was hot, but it didn't take too long for it to be cool, with the air blowing on the table. The server seemed overwhelmed. She forgot to bring drink refills and our soup refills. She finally remembered, apologized and got our refills. The soups had a good flavor. We will give it another try. We will not sit in the front dining ...
Read moreThis was the worst experience I have had at a restaurant possibly ever. I will start with the fact that it was Mother’s Day and you would typically expect a longer wait anywhere you go. We placed our names and were told there was a 45 minute wait. All good. One hour later we asked where we were on the list and they told us it would be another hour. You could clearly tell that something wasn’t right. Large groups continued to pour in and were told the same 45 minute wait times. Groups were allowed to go ahead depending on who they complained to. We decided to keep waiting as it had been over two hours and we felt invested at this point. Then an announcement was made that they were not seating people. We were unsure exactly what this meant. The only thing they said was that they couldn’t give us a time for how long it could be before we were seated. Tables were empty, to-go orders were moving out, and you could clearly tell that management did not have it together. We were excited to try this location as we love Olive Garden but this was a horrible experience. At no point was anything explained to us or an explanation given for anything. If leadership doesn’t figure something out this location...
