It's the ingredients! Here's the thing, Turoni's uses fresh ingredients where applicable - onions, peppers, sausage, cheese... Sure they use canned black olives, you have to. The sausage is large chunk, not that crumble junk. The meatballs are soft and tasty. The ricotta seen above is seemingly coming out of an icing pipette. And all of these ingredients are portioned properly throughout the pizza. Turonis makes Domino's look like it's serving Depression era rations.

Turoni's thin (cracker) crust pizza is the best thin crust pizza in the Midwest. I've eaten at 100+ pizza places in my 30+ years and only a couple thin crust pizzas come close to Turoni's.

Don't go to Turoni's and order a cheese pizza, I mean you can but that's not why Turoni's is great. Order something with sausage or meatballs or vegetables or everything.

I waxed poetic about the pizza and nearly forgot to mention they brew their own beer, some are average but most are A or B grade. The Honey Blonde is a classic. The dark ales they've had through the years are...

Had the worst service I have ever received at any restaurant in my entire life at Turoni’s on Friday night. I’m not usually one to write reviews but it was so bad that I felt the need to write one. We waited over 2 hours for our pizza and still never got it and our waitress kept avoiding our table because of this. Eventually I was sick of it and went and found her and told her to give us the check for our drinks so we could leave. I was tired of waiting over 2 hours and still not having a pizza. They weren’t that busy either (4 tables who got there after us literally got their food, ate, and left and we still never got out pizza). When the waitress gave us our check she didn’t even apologize all she said was sorry for the confusion. This made no sense as she had kept telling us our pizza would be out soon so she clearly had the order but it was still not getting made. We will never ever be back. The manager when we talked to him wasn’t very apologetic either. Worst service I’ve ever received at...

Went to Turoni’s today for lunch. I didn’t want pizza so I decided to order a sub sandwich. They have no paper menu’s due to Covid, which is not a problem at all, so I pulled the menu up on my phone like the waiter said I needed to do. I saw the sub but it didn’t specify what was on it so I asked Seth, the waiter, what all came on the sandwich. He stated “different kinds of meats and cheese like a normal sub”. When I received my $9.53 sandwich, it also had pizza sauce on it. When asked how my meal was I told him not good due to the fact it has pizza sauce on it and I wasn’t aware that was part of the sandwich since I specifically asked what came on it. I received no apologies for this or anything. I would have been fine and accepted it had he told me this was part of the sandwich or if it had stated what was on it on their online menu, and I had chose to order it anyway. I am giving this a 1 star due to the lack of information I received from the server...

I had thought that Archie and Clydes had the worst pizza in the Evansville area...my experience here on 27JAN19 proved me wrong. Customer service was good, that is the positive. Breadsticks: mealy and undercooked. Cheese toast: greasy. "Homemade" pizza sauce: taste and texture were exactly like Classico spicy red pepper pasta sauce--which is not good on pasta, and is definitely not good on breadsticks, cheese toast or pizza. The pizza was hands down the worst I have ever attempted to eat. The Italian sausage tasted like someone had mixed some oregano into mild breakfast sausage and boiled it to a rubbery consistency. The crust had the taste and texture of a saltine cracker, minus most of the salt. The cheese was greasy and burnt (reference pic of burnt, greasy pizza with banana pepper core). I was able to eat part of one tiny triangular piece before giving up. I left and went to Crazy Buffet, because I trust their food far more.

Atmosphere was great. Service great. Got the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Just giving feedback as we are avid pizza eaters and reviewers. The flavor was good just wasn't enough of it.. Pros- Chicken is fresh Cheese is high quality Cons- Too dry and not enough sauce . Chicken chunks are too big leading to weird proportion of bread to toppings. Tastes like you're eating crunchy plain chicken breast with a very faint buffalo in the background. I'd love to come back and try other pizzas as this may not be your alls best selling pizza. May adjust when trying again. I am coming from a place of genuine feedback too because we really liked the restaurant.
