Elm St Bakery — Restaurant in Everett

I went into this bakery when there was a long line. There was one person in front of me eventually, and some other lady walked right in afterwards. The cashier SAW me standing there and that I was ready to order, so she greets the woman who just walks in, and asks to take her order. I am not very aggressive, so I ignored how she purposely just let this woman cut right in front of me after I had been waiting 5 minutes in line already, and as an older gentleman walks in, she greets him and takes his order! I said, "Excuse me! I have been in line here and you just let two other people walk right in front of me!" Her response to me was, "I'll get to you after I take their orders." I was furious and walked out. That is TERRIBLE customer service. Just because I am a young woman and am not in my 50's+ like these other people does not give her the right to treat me that way! This is the poorest customer service I have EVER received. I would never go here again and would never advise anyone else to either! Several people had told me the customer service here was terrible and the food was way overpriced, but I still wanted to give this place a try out of convenience. The older, Caucasian woman who rings the register should be fired. I have, and will continue to tell everybody I know, how terrible this place is and how it's run. Everyone should just go to Market Basket around the corner! Market Basket even does wedding cakes, not just fresh pastries! I HAVEN'T BEEN TO ELM ST. BAKERY SINCE I MVED BACK TO REVERE FROM Everett . I LIVED THERE 4 BOUT 5 YEARS, AND ENDULGED MYSELF IN THEIR DELICIOUSLY, PHENOMENAL, AWE INSPIRING PASTRY AND BREADS, CAKES, CANOLIS.... OOOHHH THE CANOLLIISSS... SORRY DAY DREAMING AGAIN. BACK TO THE BAKERY, I WAS NOT SURPRISED TO SEE THE SAME PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES WORKING THERE. THEY MAKE THAT STORE, WELL BESIDES THE FOOD, THE ATMOSPHERE, FIRST IMPRESSIONS, AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL GET 5 STAR RATING FROM THE TIME YOU FIRST WALK IN TO WHEN U DON'T WANT TO LEAVE BUT HAVE TO. THEY GET ANYTHING YOU WANT, AND IF BY ANY CHANCE THERE ISN'T WHAT YOU WANT IN THE SHOP THE EMPLOYEES JUST SCREAM IT OUT TO, I GUESS A MAGICIAN, BECAUSE WHAT EVER THEY YELL ITS READY IN 7 SECONDS FROM SOME ENTITY FROM THE KITCHEN. This review is not about the taste of cake. Cake is awesome as usual here but my last experience was not pleasant at all. I and my husband went there last week to order cake for my son’s 5th birthday which was yesterday. We had space theme party but they did not have space theme cake so I picked the cake which seems pretty close with night sky color with white dots which kind of looks like stars. One downside with the cake design was it had start war character on top of it so we told the lady who was taking order that we are doing space themed party so we don’t want any character on it. Could you make it without any character just to give a look of night sky with stars and she discussed with the other lady who was working on a register and said ya we can do that. We paid full amount on the same day. Yesterday when my husband went to pickup cake they made it with start war character as in the picture and the color was purple instead of dark blue. We were so disappointed because it just ruined our themed party. We spent so much money to make this party completely space themed but at the end the cake was completely different.
