This was a really great experience! From the moment we walked in to cashing out, I felt like I had a personal invitation to someones home for dinner. I don't remember our servers name, but at the end of the meal, he told me that his mom is the owner.
He was very patient, welcoming, kind and just had the friendliest vibe. Our cheese dip was a little warm and I prefer mine hot, so when I let him know, he apologized and brought us another one. I let him know that it was not his fault so no apologies needed and that we thought it was delicious, just a little lukewarm.
I was a waitress for about 10 years, so I always have my eye open for top quality experiences and this would definitely be in my top 10, closer to top 5, of the best customer service experiences I have had at Washington restaurants.
At the end of the meal, I let him know how great the experience was and his genuine appreciation for OUR appreciation of him, was so heart felt. This restaurant is one that I truly feel that they are in business because they have the passion and love that overflows within them and they want to pour it back to other people! That is exactly what I look for when I go out and when I go to places where it is so clear that people just want to make money and fame, but don't care about the customers experience, I pray that I find a place like Luna Mexican Grill.
My son actually picked the place and I'm so glad he did! We will be back for sure and have already recommended it to some of our friends/family out here.
Thank you to our waitress for a very comfortable experience and for sharing your...
Read moreCame to Luna for my Mom's birthday! It's tucked away on Evergreen Way/99. We actually passed it at first. Made a reservation as this was our first time here, and I wasn't sure how busy it'd be.
We were kindly greeted, and they had our reservation. The young man sat us down. Then we waited. And waited. Finally, I asked the young man if we could have some water, and at least he graciously got it for us as our server finally came.
*Mind you, there were no more than maybe 6 occupied tables, so there was no reason to wait that long to at least be acknowledged. I'd give them a 3.5
Our server was absolutely lovely once he got to us. We ordered chicken taquitos and Mexican street corn as appetizers, my husband drank water, a Roy rogers for our 17 year old, mom a margarita and I forget mine😂 except that it was much to sweet for my typical whiskey/bourbon palette! Tacos El Pastore, Polo asado, chorizo and eggs, and a deep fried taco dish.
Presentation of everything was excellent, to which we all agreed and the food was outstanding!!
As a new restaurant, I will give them some grace about slow service, I sure hope they get together as they get busier. The food is so good, I'd hate to see them flounder.
Definitely will return cause the food is worth...
Read moreThis place was new to us. We often finish the week on Friday night with take out Mexican and to go Margaritas. The website and on line menu worked well and easy to navigate and read. Was excited to see the seafood tacos had a grilled cod or shrimp. Love cod tacos and grilled is preferred to deep fried. My wife's standard is Enchiladas chicken mole. She thought the mole was not as flavorful as others but it wasn't scorched so she was okay with it. I was disappointed with the fish tacos. The fish was battered and deep fried, not grilled. It was pieces of fried fish sliced up into the tacos. Honestly I couldn't even tell if it was cod. The rest of the taco was well put together but the fish wasn't as described and they were fishy. I was disappointed with them. The house salsa was tomato-y and could have been spicier for our taste. The Margaritas are tasty and have some booze in them. They're are smaller than others in the area and cost just as much. As others commented its more expensive than others in the area. I didn't think it...
