Tyler's Donuts — Restaurant in Everett

I come here as often as I can. My son is the one who told me about Tyler's Donut House. My son said that my Mom said that they made the best fritters she has ever had in her life, and she is pretty old. So she has had a lot of different ones. I absolutely 100 percent recommend you try this place out if you like apple fritters. I know that when I walk in Tyler's Donut House the display of the most beautiful donuts almost makes my jaw drop. The owner seems to have extremely honed baking skills to consistently pull off these little works of art. They are of course always fresh. Always super soft and crispy at the same time. With the fritters having that crisp outer shell that literally is to die for( metaphorically speaking of course). I mean look at the picture. I purchased 6 of them and they are of decent size. The price was more than appropriate. I am surprised that they do not cost more than they do. Well they sure taste like they should. The atmosphere is laid back with no pressure. I have to say that the donuts speak for themselves. The donut house is clean and free of any debris and smells like baked goods and an undercurrent of a good solid cleaner. The staff behind the counter are absolutely always professional and respectful. I know that this Donut House in my opinion is the best in the city, county and maybe the state. It is pretty simple. If you want awesome donuts come here. If you want just great donuts then go where you...

HORRIBLE.... My main issue was their customer service*. ...i don't really want to get into it, because its a review about doughnuts.

That being said, My go-2 are maple bars at any shop. I opted for a few of theirs. they were so dry, the maple topping crumbled away from the cake when picked up out of the box...super dry. They "Looked" great in the display cabinet, but obviously had been sitting there since the previous day or two.

i also ordered the Apple Fritters, they were "OK"...Probably the quality/flavor of grocery store doughnuts. More focus on Sugar vs quality ingredients to produce a great doughnut.

I waited for National doughnut day and planned to stop at 3 locations that day. After stopping here, i was just over the whole thing...Kinda ruined a day i was excited for.

EVEN if they were amazing, i would NEVER spend my time or money in that establishment again.

*if you're tired of "hearing" about "these types" of social issues...imagine how you'd feel if you had to...

Tyler works from Midnight till 4:30 am baking doughnuts, opens, sells doughnuts and continues cooking up doughnuts till 5:30-6am. Then he sells, sells, sells... Till you get there and there are only a few choices. He will have hours where Many dozen are sold an hour. He then has to gauge if he should bake more, what types? How many? What happens if sales slow? Nobody wants day olds. Its really really tough. In this spoiled "I want every choice available at all times" world... I'm proud to support a local Super Hard working guy like Tyler and his family. And ya sometimes he has nearly sold out. Sometimes he's zombie Tired.

Just a side note... He's selling till close, a few times a week hits up the store to restock supplies, gets 6-7 hours sleep and does this 7 days a week month in month out... For 40+ years... Pretty Awesome.
