As a former patron of Johnny Longhots, my family and I used to enjoy their offerings. However, tonight's experience served as a painful reminder of why we stopped ordering from them in the first place. The disappointment began to unfold when we placed an order at 9:00pm, well within their operating hours as they close at 9:30pm. The delivery policy indicated that orders must be placed before 9:15pm - a deadline we adhered to.
Upon receiving my platter of chicken tenders and fries, I was immediately disgusted. The chicken tenders, or whatever one could call them, were a horrendous sight. Ranging in size from small to massive, each one was mercilessly burnt to a crisp. The appalling state of these so-called chicken tenders made it clear that Johnny Longhots had no qualms about sending out old and inedible food to their customers. The audacity to deliver such low-quality food reflects a complete lack of care and disregard for their patrons' satisfaction.
As I broke one of the chicken tenders apart, my worst fears were confirmed - they were undeniably stale and past their prime. It is an absolute disgrace that an establishment could have the audacity to send out such abhorrent food to paying customers. The abysmal condition of the chicken tenders is a testament to the utter lack of concern for the quality they provide.
What is even more infuriating is that by the time our delivery arrived, Johnny Longhots had already closed for the evening. This conveniently ensured that we had no opportunity to voice our grievances immediately. Regardless of whether it was the opening or closing hour, the quality of their food should remain consistent throughout their operational hours. Unfortunately, this was not the case, as my previous experience with the restaurant mirrored tonight's fiasco - they sent old food and purposely delivered it after closing time.
I am determined to confront them about their subpar offerings and their blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. Tomorrow, I plan to take the same disappointing platter back to the restaurant and show them the deplorable quality they deemed acceptable for their patrons. The fact that such a situation has happened not once but twice is truly disheartening.
To encapsulate the appalling nature of tonight's ordeal, I have attached pictures of the ghastly chicken tenders that arrived at my doorstep. It is my hope that Johnny Longhots will realize the magnitude of their negligence and take immediate action to rectify their quality control issues. As a loyal customer who once enjoyed their food, it is deeply frustrating and disappointing to witness the sharp decline in their standards. Until significant improvements are made, my family and I will never again subject ourselves to such a harrowing dining experience at Johnny Longhots.
If I could take away stars, I would do so without hesitation, for Johnny Longhots does not even deserve the one star I reluctantly give to initiate this review. The disgraceful quality of their food and their complete disregard for customer satisfaction are reasons enough to warrant a...
Read moreThis used to be my go to place for pizza. The food was excellent, the service was friendly. The value was great. Unfortunately, that changed when it changed owners (quietly).
The food quality has gone down a bit. The brooklyn pizza was overcooked with a burnt crust. The chicken parm pizza was heavy on chicken, but light on sauce and cheese.
The service quality has also decreased and there seems to have been some staff turnover in the transition. Went there with a few coworkers and despite being the last to order, my food came out first and my coworker's food didn't come out until she complained. They had forgotten to put it in the oven. When she complained, they reacted poorly to the situation and didn't try much to make it right.
From a value perspective, it's worse in the sense that the quality and service decreased, but the price is the same. It's still a decent deal, but I'll go elsewhere in the future.
I've been there a few times where I've heard other customers talk about the quality of the pizza and rave over it's "true New York" style and talk about the "Johnny Longhots/Uncle Johnny" story. The reality is, there is no Johnny Longhots or Uncle Johnny. It's a clever marketing scam to sell a product. If you go there thinking you are getting an authentic experience, you are being tricked. Johnny Longhots is no more a story of a New York pizza maker than Chili's is the story of a Mexican chef. The interior is sort of like the Cracker Barrel or Friday's of pizza...
Read moreI come to this place normally for food when I get a chance to go on break. I usually get the penne vodka or pizza but decided to try something new, I purchased Alfredo and zeppoles, the zeppoles were a bit hard and the Alfredo was extra soupy. As soon as you put the sauce on a noodle/ spoon? It slid off like water. Watery is a better description because even some soup broths are thicker than the Alfredo sauce they served me. I tried to call and try something else since the pasta was very uncomfortable to eat and distasteful but they closed. I call the next few days to try to resolve it and they proceed to tell me there’s nothing they will do, which sucks since I’m a frequent spender here. Poor Alfredo sauce and service. Oh and since there is nothing they can do for me, I’ll never return here until I speak to a manager. the way they have treated me is not how you run a business, cook alfredo or handle food complaints! oh i also called and got my information took down and was told a manager would contact me back but never did so i called back and ryan told me tonya told him to not refund or replace anything for me, proceeded to then say if i had anything else about the situation come in tomorrow after 4 to speak to tonya. highly disappointed in the service, alfredo...
