Went with my fiancé last Saturday. Had the worst service I have ever had in my life. Jason needs retraining on how to provide not even good service but how to do his job. My fiancé and I both have experience in the food service, so we understand how it can be as a server but what he did NOT do is inexcusable. Sat us down, gave us our plates, and took our order. That’s the last I saw of Jason. Our Tea Time for Two and drinks and food were served from a different server, and we were never checked on. Meanwhile, Jason was checking up on a couple of young girls seated across from us, giggling, laughing with them but he not once came by our table to check on anything. After we realized Jason wasn’t going to check on us, I decided to call for him for the check. I get his attention, still doesn’t ask us if we wanted anything to-go or box anything. My fiancé’s brother is a veteran and previously asked and had gotten a military discount. I asked politely for it, and the response I got was “Uh, I don’t think we have that”. Never checked, didn’t ask any of his coworkers about it. Whatever. He gives me the check. I immediately get my card out but he walks away. 5 minutes pass and in these five minutes hes looked at the check with my card on top twice and never comes by to get it so I just walked up to the counter and asked another server who was at the register to ring me up. It felt insulting to me to even consider writing a tip because he didn’t do the bare minimum of his job. Maybe because we weren’t single young girls he didn’t provide good service? My fiancé loves Prince Tea House and I was excited to spend what little time I had home at a place she loved but this experience left a sour taste in our mouths. Food was good, service -10/10 Jason cannot...

We live nearby and are always looking for fun places to eat, so we had high hopes for Prince Tea House. Unfortunately we were mightily disappointed. Beyond the pretty decor and tasty blended fruit drink my son had, there was nothing redeeming about this place, and nothing worth returning for.

First the service. The waitress seemed annoyed to be there and it felt like she was doing us a favor to be serving us. The main issue though was what should’ve been the star of the show, the food. My daughter ordered the tea for one. We’ve had this type of tea setup at other places before, so we knew to expect small servings. This place took tiny dishes to a whole new level though, and not in a good way. The little pieces of bread were practically miniature, but worst of all, tasteless. The little tart was hard and crunchy, filled with bland whip. The cookie-like item, which I’m guessing was supposed to be a scone, was literally burned. The deviled egg was in fact not deviled, but simply half an egg with a sprinkle of paprika. We also ordered the “katsu” sandwich. Are we now giving this designation to any chicken sandwich? This wasn’t much closer to a katsu sandwich than the crispy chicken sandwich at McDonald’s a few doors down (which is also much tastier btw) it was just a piece of soggy fried chicken on a forlorn looking bun. The beef sukiyaki sandwich was even worse. There was hardly any meet in the sandwich, and like almost everything else, was bland. At least they’re consistent in the flavor department. For a tea house, the list of teas was unimpressive, and the actual teas (we tried two) low quality. Our tab for three people was over $90, and we left hungry and...

I visited the Prince Tea House with some friends on a Saturday afternoon. As expected, it was busy. When I arrived, they had a tablet to join the waitlist. They told me it would be about an hour wait, which was an on par estimate. They do have a seating time limit per table during certain times on the weekend. When we were finally seated, two different servers tried to take our orders. You'd think that would mean efficiency, but the food was very slow to come out, if it came out at all. No one ever asked us how our food was, if we needed anything, or how we were in general. They came over with the check without even asking if we wanted to order anything else. We did want dessert. She said it would take 5 minutes to come out as the desserts were already made; it took much longer. Then we were left on our own for another 15-20 minutes before they came with the check again.

I also felt something a bit sharp under the table, when I looked it was a piece of the table splintered off and waiting to snag someone's leg or pants.

Overall, I didn't have the experience I was expecting. The food we had was nothing over the top, nothing...

We decided to enjoy High Tea. The staff was extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly. We were seated at a table for 4 (there were 3 of us) where we could enjoy laughter and conversation. We were away from the other guests so we could relax and enjoy our time together. Our tea arrived. We each had our own pot of tea that stayed hot until the very last drop. Nothing I hate more than a cold cup of tea! Needless to say, I was very happy. The tea was very enjoyable. We had Afternoon Tea for 3. This included a pot of hot tea for each of us, 4 delicious tea sandwiches and a wasabi deviled egg for each of us. Then we enjoyed scones with whipped cream and strawberry jam. They were a very nice size and were flaky and scrumptious. Our third course was dessert. We each enjoyed a petite fruit tart, a petite chocolate lava cake and a slice of petite purple yam cake. The perfect ending to our tea. Refills of tea are included. We had a great time enjoying great food and conversation. Definitely worth a visit and return visit…. The restaurant was clean and inviting.
