Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Exeter Township

My husband decided to surprise me and bring home my favorite, Chicken Won-tons for dinner. He also got his favorite meal as well, the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp and an order of waffle fries for me. Even though the food was good we were very disappointed with the portion size. When he opened his dinner, his chicken looked like half a chicken breast and there were only 5 shrimp compared to the 8-9 you get when you dine in. When I opened the waffle fries, there were about 8-10. I actually thought he may have eaten some on the way home. Not very many to make up a "Basket" of Waffle Fries. The only thing that was the correct portion was my Won-tons. There are usually 4 in an order, so there is no way to skimp on this entree if you order To-Go. It's just upsetting that it seemed like less food for the same price. Ultimately, we probably still eat there again, we just won't ever use the To-Go...

My friend and I went in during the early afternoon,we shared an appetizer combo and each ordered a long island ice tea, everything was amazing,I order long island ice teas almost everywhere I go to eat out and the one we got here was by far the best,from the server/bartender that made it and helped us,to the way the drink was made,it was in a LARGE margarita type class and tasted better than most I have tried. I wasn't even going to eat until the food came out ,I couldn't stop eating it after the first bite,it was fresh and delicious. We were both very happy with the quality of service,food and drinks. I have been to several other Applebee's locations and this location was by far the best. It's always nice when you are pleasantly surprised by a different location. I recommend this Applebee's to anyone in the area looking for a better experience,thanks for everything,you guys are...

I don’t know if all Applebees are the same, but I know that my experience at the one in Exeter was great 👍. I honestly thought it would be the usual “okay“ place to dine. The food definitely shot that down. It was delicious! I had chicken that tasted soooo good and was tender inside. No dry, bland meat in this chicken! A baked potato with bacon and cheese that was so moist and flavorful that for once I didn’t have to put any butter on it to make it tasty and creamy. Our waitress was friendly and informative in answering my questions. I also noticed that the seasonings on the chicken for once nicely enhanced the flavor instead of overpowering it.
