I was sooo excited to go and finally have a spot to go to when my usual spot isn't open. Here's my review.. its long.. so warning Today (10/26) was the grand opening (they had a soft opening a week ago). Hour and a half wait. Ok no problem was to be expected. we finally get our table. Took 15 mins for the server to come and get our order. We all order something and we also get 2 dishes to go. Hubby and I got our pho relatively quick. (some of my meatballs were still slightly cold). My son's egg rolls and sprite never came. We eat our soup, (I'm a pho snob , I grew up on pho, I always try new spots anywhere I go) both my hubby and I both agreed the soup was not it. The broth had no flavor and tasted like water even with the hoisin sauce added in. Whatever, we still ate it. We finished our soup, waiter finally comes back around we tell him we never got our egg rolls or sprite. He goes to check, 10 minutes later we finally got them, they were warm/cold no longer fresh from the fryer. We still ate them of course and they were good I liked them, my son said they were ok. We also asked our waiter about our to go order he had to check in with kitchen. 5 mins later he comes back and says they ran out of rice it will be another 10 minute wait. More time passes he comes out again and says the rice is taking longer so asked if we wanted to cancel. Sure we canceled. At this point its been almost a hour and a half we were sitting waiting for food that takes less than 20 mins to eat. Check comes we were given an extra $10 off our check. (I don't feel like that was enough but I wanted to leave and didn't want to complain) total of 3 hours in this restaurant and wasn't once checked on how was food anything. Felt kind of bad for the server as he seemed overwhelmed going thru all the tables. We got 1 of our dishes to go, the banh mi sandwich. It is SMALL compared to other local places. Hubby said it was ok nothing to rave about. As of right now its a MAYBE if I return to this restaurant to try other things but it def wont be for the pho. Maybe one day I'll try again when I'm on that side of town. This is my review/opinion.. I'd say it's worth checking out if you like Vietnamese food and form your opinion. For me it wasn't worth the half hour drive...
Read moreReally disappointed. I was really excited to check out this new restaurant and unfortunately had a terrible experience. We spent close to $100, it wasnt worth it. It took a really long time to get our food. We got our food before our appetizer which we ended up just canceling and my husband got his order almost 30mins after all the other food was brought out. When my husband got his appetizer it was so hot he burnt his mouth. The chicken pho is served with mixed parts, with the skin on with lots of tendons and ligaments which is not what we are used to. I also got the Thai milk tea which was basically just milk. Our server was very anxious and had a difficult time providing customer service. I very rarely write negative reviews but this experience was a let down. I know they just opened so hopefully they...
Read moreI really, really wanted to like this place since there's a dearth of Vietnamese restaurants in the area. We went to the Grand Opening, which was well attended. We had a brief 10 minute-ish wait to be seated.
Sadly, the pho did not live up to my expectations. I ordered the Saigon Pho (effectively your standard 火车头). The broth was lacking, both in flavor (almost like it was watered down) and one dimensional. The brisket was far too thick and fatty.
It may be Opening Day kinks since several menu items weren't available. I may give it another try later on, but it's unlikely to become a staple in the...
