I am downgrading my rating for this location, since they had plenty of time since their grand opening to fix issues with their portion sizes and rude employees. My family has since tried this location numerous times, and it’s consistently undesirable compared to the Wyomissing, Temple, and Douglassville locations. It is also priced higher than Temple and Wyomissing. I have never been to a Chipotle anywhere that gives such tiny portions, and then they look at you here like you have 3 eyes when you ask for more. When they do finally give you more, the total portion in your bowl or burrito is still half of the normal amount given at any other Chipotle. I don’t know about anybody else, but I don’t buy food out somewhere so I can still be hungry after eating. If this location keeps this up, they will end up closing. I never see people there when I drive by. This is a bad location and they need us locals to help them thrive. You are not earning locals’ loyalty by ripping them off. As excited as I was that I was getting a chipotle 2 miles from my house, I don’t even consider this location as an option anymore. I’m done.

As with many other reviewers and being a local Exeter township resident, I was excited for a Chipotle to be so close. I have given this specific location 5 solid attempts at coming close to any other Chipotle in the state. I’ve visited in person on more than one occasion and ordered online; all at different times and different days to see if it would make any difference. The experience has been consistently unsatisfactory/subpar. I can’t believe Chipotle Corporate hasn’t stepped in to try and fix the continued issues. Especially with the overwhelming amount of negative reviews sharing the same sentiment. The food quality continues to disappoint, flavors are off, portion size always small. The music played over a personal speaker isn’t as much of a problem as the choice of unfiltered, slurred music blasting at an unreasonable volume for a national chain establishment. Save yourself the disappointing experience and make the 10 minute drive to the Douglassville location.

I ordered a salad with guac on-line to pick up in the drive through. I drove up, and 3 women (staff) were talking, and looked annoyed after I smiled and waved. One came up and asked, "What's your name?" I told her, she grabbed the bag, handed it to me and walked away before I could even say thanks. I wish I wouldn't have tipped 20% ahead of time. At home, I opened up the salad, and there was no guacamole. In fact there was also only 5-6 pieces of lettuce, one on which was rusted. In a salad! The only good news? I called and it went right to the national customer service. I was refunded my money in less than an hour of purchase. But, between the rude service and lack of lettuce in a salad, I'll never go back there. But the plentiful tomatoes and corn were fresh, which is the only reason the food part of this is 2 stars.

I normally don’t leave reviews, but I felt this experience needed to be shared. I had to drive back to the store after paying $17 for a portion so small it honestly felt like a joke, better suited for a kids meal. I didn’t want to cause a scene, but I figured they’d want to know and see it for themselves.

When I pulled into the parking lot, I could hear loud noise coming from the building. I expected the place to be packed based on how loud it was. Nope. It was just 4 or 5 employees yelling, laughing, and carrying on inside. When I walked in and asked for the manager, she didn’t introduce herself, didn’t offer a real apology just took the item, said “sorry,” and remade it. That was it. No conversation, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience. I felt completely brushed off.

To make matters worse, they had their music playing over the store music. Their music was coming from a huge JBL speaker that had racial slurs with what felt like every other line in the lyrics. I was honestly relieved my kids weren’t with me. It’s hard to believe that’s acceptable in any professional setting. And when I asked to speak to the manager, all the employees turned and stared. I felt completely judged just for calmly voicing a concern.

At the end of the day, it’s not just about a remade order, it’s about how customers are treated.

Also Chipotle, if you see this, I find it very convenient that the phone number you have listed for complaints is not working when you call but there is also no email or customer feedback available.

You couldn’t pay...

I’m done with thIs Exeter location! I have yet to get a decent meal from there out of 7-8 visits since they opened. I’m guessing I’m not alone because I was the only customer in the store throughout my entire visit. Their parking lot is always empty. Tonight I asked for double meat but got less than 1/2 spoonful of each and when I reminded them it was double meat, not half/half, I was informed that I did in fact receive double meat by their standards. Funny, Reading and Douglassville give full heaping spoonfuls without protest. I ordered a carne asada bowl with extra chicken but only got 4.5 little strips of carne asada! At other locations my bowls are usually overflowing and have to be compacted with the lid. This time, the bowl contents didn’t even make it to the top. The girl serving me had to keep asking me what I said because she was talking over her shoulder to coworkers and forgetting what I asked for. I ended up with the wrong beans but luckily I like both types. I asked for a large drink and chips/guac. The cashier forgot my large cup. When I asked for the cup he couldn’t remember what he just rang up because he was busy talking to his coworkers. The chip bag had about 1/2 the normal amount. Literally nothing was right. The meat and rice were dry as if left out all day. You would think they are taking money out of these kids pay for serving normal portions by how skimpy they are. Definitely not worth the money I spent. I could have had a 6-8oz steak dinner at one of the 3 chain steakhouses in the area for...

My son and daughter wanted to take me somewhere for Father's Day. I knew the place they picked out would be crowded. I had not been to a chipotle's since going to the one in Wyomissing years ago. The new one near me that took over the old wendy spot was a good place to go, I thought.

Only one other couple in the restaurant, it immediately appeared over staffed. When I got to the end of the order line, they didn't offer me a drink or try to upsell me anything. I had to ask for a drink. My son was the last in line. He paid for all three of us, but they sold him four drinks for three people.

My food tasted good, but the burrito was very tiny. The burrito did not come with any chips. I told my son that I thought that you got chips with your food like at Moe's. My son went up to see if we were supposed to get chips and salsa with it.

He came back to the seat and said I couldn't make them understand my question.

We were in there for a long time, so we could all talk for a bit. The place was clean. The staff looked bored. I overheard that you cannot order from their drivethrough window. You need to order ahead, then the window is for pick up.

They did not have a lot of business for the three hours. that...
