Lorane Hollow Park — Attraction in Exeter Township

I grew up in this park and have so many memories here. From when I was little and my dad would walk me and my brothers over to now when I let my dog run around. It has transformed from it’s rough appearance featuring old, rusty fencing and rotten wood structures to a gorgeous repaved and repainted facility. The old playground with yellow slides and strong language written on them have been replaced. There aren’t overgrown weeds and the basketball hoops have nets. Compared to what it was, this place has been remade so much better. Now that new cameras have been installed, and aren’t spray-painted over, there are no more shady deals going on that as a kid I would watch while playing. I love that, legally, dogs are allowed. I like seeing people enjoying this area with dogs just as I did. If you like soccer, there’s some space still for that. If you like baseball, there’s a massive field. If tennis it what you enjoy, the court is lovely. The basketball court is painted vibrantly and is gorgeous. If you want to ride your bike around the park, or walk, there’s an entire paved trail around it. If you like nature, right below the trail in the field there’s a pond (it’s a little gross so don’t go in it) with many frogs. If you wait till dusk you may see groundhogs, deer, foxes, and multitudes of different birds species just as I have. Nice paved loop to walk, jog, or take a stroller. Modern play equipment, well maintained athletic fields and courts, pavilion, and clean bathrooms plus a lot of easy accessible parking. There's video surveillance and also surrounded by well patrolled neighborhoods and homes so has a very secure feel to the place, which is great when I'm alone with my child. Lorane Hollow Park is an awesome park to take your young kids to play, older kids to play baseball and tennis. I've taken my dogs to the park as well. It's in walking distance if you live in Lorane Orchards, but they also do have a driveway. It's really been a shame that lately the park has been vandalized.
