One of the best "pizza joints" I've ever been in, anywhere in North America. The people are kind and helpful, and even though I live two and a half or three hours away I'd make it a point to eat there if I was in the area. Though I didn't get there frequently they always remembered me! Their eggplant parmesan, either as a sub or over pasta, is done perfectly, without the possible pitfalls of eggplant that is too oily, too crisp, or the worst, cooked just right as far as the breading, but underdone inside. They make their own sauces from scratch and they are delicious. I have had a huge variety of things from the menu and always enjoyed what I had. It can get crowded and noisy when there are family days or sports events at Phillips Exeter, but it never reaches a level of raucous unpleasantness. The seating is comfortable and while there is a big screen TV that usually has sports or news on, there are plenty of places to sit where you don't have to see it. I think it had a closed caption or scrolling along, I do not recall it ever being loud. And I am not someone who wants to look or listen to a TV, especially while eating and talking with someone. You order at the counter and then your meal is brought to your table. They are good about checking that everything is the way you want it, to see if you need anything (red pepper flakes) and just generally that you are happy...
ย ย ย Read moreOrdered food tonight for delivery at 6:40pm and was told the wait would be 45mins to 1 hour. We live less than 5 minutes away, but it's a Saturday and it's a little snowy, so sure, no problem. We waited. And waited. And waited. Our apartment is a little tricky to find, but we always make sure to tell anyone who delivers to call us and we will come outside. Finally we called the shop again almost 2 hours later to find out where our food was- it never arrived (this is not the first time we've had to call asking where our food is- the first time we figured it was just an honest mistake but apparently it's a reoccurring thing). Apparently they sent 2 delivery drivers out and knocked on all of our neighbors' doors but couldn't find us. I find that extremely difficult to believe considering it's a small space and all of the doors are directly near/next to each other, clearly numbered. Even so, we received no phone call from anyone. Not the delivery driver, not the shop itself. I'm just really surprised that not one person thought to call paying customers (we pre-paid with a card). The fact that we have received such poor customer service multiple times has really turned us off from New England Pizza, so we will be continuing business with Front Row Pizza...
ย ย ย Read moreWe arrived in Exeter, NH and really fancied some food. A quick Google maps search and this place came up. On entering we went to the front counter and were welcomed by a very friendly lady who advised how we order. We chose two pizzas, fries and drinks before finding a table. A short time later the pizzas were brought to the table with a bowl of freshly cooked french fries. The pizzas were thin and crispy and had a really great texture and taste, the whole family loved them . The fries were long and hot and some of the best fries I have had whilst travelling for the last 3 weeks. The friendly lady (who helped us before) came over when it appeared we had finished and gave us some boxes to take the rest of the pizza with us on our travels.
They are not the cheapest, but also not too expensive, just a fantastic pizza with plenty of topping. I would recommend everyone visit this place. if you are looking for a great tasting pizza (with an American diner atmosphere) this is the place. They also...
