Do not trust the outside of this restaurant. if it hadn't been recommended to me, I never would have stepped foot in this place, but once inside, this place is a super cool 50's style diner and the food is out of this world (there is also a drive through). If you want something healthy, do not come here. Every drink comes in a frosted mug and there is a wide selection of milkshakes as well as the classic root-beer float. they are all delicious and huge. the best thing on the menu by far is the Alaska Supreme Burger. I never would have ordered this burger if I hadn't seen it because it says that it has 3 patties and I expected them to be huge and gross but it actually has 3 super thin patties (almost like Krystal burgers but way better), a secret sauce, bacon, cheese, onions and pickles all on a fresh roll. This burger is ridiculously delicious. Like, I'm literally addicted to it. It's made to order fresh and it satisfies. even though I can never finish the burger, I always have to get it with a side of cheese fries. C&J serves the classic crinkle cut spuds with something like the consistency of nacho cheese on top. Eat this regularly and you'll die young, but it might be worth it. C&J is just simple, delicious food, friendly service and it feels like a little slice of Americana that you so rarely see anymore. Please just try it once! You...

This is meant to be more of a constructive criticism than a "I hate this establishment" complaint. I ordered two meals, one dine in and one to-go. I ordered a buffalo chicken cheese steak for dine in, and it was okay. The cheese wasn't melted on the top, but the bottom of the sandwich was burn your mouth hot (how it should be 😉) and it made me feel as it it was microwaved. The quality wasn't worth 17 dollars for the meal. The service was okay, up until I was paying up front and the person checking me out stared at the tip screen to watch how much I decided to tip them. Just not food service standard, and very uncomfortable as I didn't want to address why I didn't want to tip high. While I was eating in, the kitchen staff were also incredibly loud, not just paper thin wall loud. I could audibly hear two people yelling back and forth about something written on a ticket and not being able/forgetting to read it. It was not discussionlike, but emotional unprofessional arguing. Not something anyone wants to hear in the dining room. There is definitely room for improvement and I would love to come back and try...

If I could go less I would. The food was not bad but for my family and I it was like we where invisible. We got there in the car and nobody came out to see us for more than 15 minutes, even though a waitress said she would be out in a minute. Then we went inside to try to see if we could get better service in the dining area. Guess what we where invisible in there too. Lol. We even had to get our own menu. We finally get waited on and the food took around 25 minutes to bring out, due to having only two cooks instead of three and the fan blew everything around in the kitchen So we had to take it to go because we had spent an hour there and had an appointment to make. We get on the road not checking the order and they had given us an incorrect order. Anyway I guess if u don’t have magical powers of invisiblity then u r ok...

Dishonest staff "Beth". My husband & I had been in Fairbanks working & decided to go there to eat. Prior to going my husband had dropped his wallet in the water, therefore everything in it was wet. He had four $100 bills in it. He paid the bill using a $100 only to realize later he had actually gave her $200 "they stuck together as they were wet". So I called got a phone call back, sent a message got another call back sent two or three more messages & as you can guess I've not heard anything or gotten the money back. ADDED: another comment about the money in the photo.

A throw back to a simpler time. Food is simple, reliable and easy to eat. A perfect treat for yourself or the whole family. Build your burger however you want with their new hand pressed patties or pick from any one of their tasty single or double quarter pounder burgers. Service is always fast and the food is by far the fastest I've ever had in Fairbanks to get to my table. Rival only by the drive thru, which they also have if you're picking up. A certain go-to for those looking for a fast sit down, or quick take-home. Always reliable and quick to serve.

We went through the drive in. The waitress was attentive and came out as soon as we pulled in with menus ready for us. We got the "double bow wow" which is a foot long hot dog as opposed to the "bow wow" which I assume is a regular sized hot dog. We also got fries and onion rings. Everything we ordered was made fresh, the fries and onion rings were hot and crispy. Hot dog was nice and hot too. I really enjoyed my experience here and thought the service was kind. I thought it was cool that you could see them cook your food from outside.
