Food was delicious. All you can eat price is worth it. Food came out fast after the first order. Waitress was cute and nice. Owner is friendly and wanted us to be satisfied. We were. Awesome place. Wish they took reservations. It would have been nice to have received tongs to serve the food with. We were serving it up off the tray with forks.
Update 4/9/22 I took two stars off because I returned to this place and it was very difficult to get anyone's attention to get food and water. They were busy and/or understaffed and it was mayhem. I thought I had more food coming, but I actually didn't. I even asked to change the order and he said it was too late. But it never came. This turned out to be a good thing because we were stuffed. The food is good, although maybe a touch too salty. My friend thought the scallops were so salty he couldn't eat them. He complained the whole time.
I also find it annoying that they don't give you tongs for the all you can eat trays. I asked for them twice and both times it was as if they were listening but not really listening. Instead everyone has to jab at clams, scallops, shrimp, and crabs with their forks and hands. I don't like that. I don't want everyone's forks that went into their mouths going into the common food tray.
The dining experience is odd because there are annoying rules. Two hour dine limit on all you can eat makes you try to eat fast, which isn't fun. It's a hassle to crack the crabs and peel the shrimp. Shrimp is understandable. Crabs, they need the special pickers that allow you to slice open the shell by jabbing and pulling up like crab shack has.
The rule that uneaten food will be weighed and charged is an obnoxious policy. If they ever tried to impose it on me, I would be shocked and dismayed. Makes me paranoid about ordering too much and not being able to finish it. Makes for an unpleasant dining experience.
In all honesty, you're better off not doing the all you can eat option even though they strongly encourage it. You won't overeat because you can stop eating and take your food home. And in all honesty, the portion sizes are hefty. You'll also likely spend less than the $54.99 for all you can eat. And you won't feel paranoid and annoyed that you might order more than you can eat and be charged...
Read moreVisited this place for my mom's birthday. The waiter was very professional and came to check on us on a timely manner. Now let's get to the food. The sides were great they just didnt ever bring enough for the amount of people at our table considering we all had to get the samething. When time for the seafood to come. The server brought out a nice size try for everyone to share at the table. The crab legs were small and shells were soft and nothing but air. The flavors were bland. I guess the spice level needed to be kicked up. As we continued to dine the server would bring more food this time on an even smaller tray which again was not enough for the amount of people. The server noticed and brought more. Now as our dinner was coming to an end. We mentioned to the server that we would like one more tray and we would be finished. As the tray came out we noticed the tray was bigger than what was coming previous. With twice as much food. We even got the potatoes and corn again which we didnt after the first round. Not being able to finish the large portion. We ask for the check, and the server mentioned we have to pay for any food we didnt finish. Now this is where I lost my cool. Due to the inconsistency of the kitchen I did not pay for it. I paid for what was stated on the menu. The menu says 50pp and if you would like to take food there is an additional cost. Another server became very rude after hearing me speaking with my server who was understanding, and saw the inconsistency of the trays coming to the table. So I only rate this place 3 stars based on the professionalpro of my server. Other than that the seafood is very good. Go to May's seafood if you want a real CRAZY...
Read moreWorth a visit! For more, here is: The good, the bad, and the ugly.
The good: Our server Chris was excellent. He was super friendly. He came around often. And was very attentive to our needs. We had a party of 4, so there was a mandatory 18% gratuity. You would reason that he wouldn't try so hard because it was guaranteed. But this was not the case. He was great, and it was appreciated! The food was good. Especially the snow crab legs. Which were seasoned to our tastes. Everything we ordered came out in a reasonable time. Drinks were large and kept full. Prices were reasonable for all you can eat. They have a sink in the hallway to the bathroom for you to clean yourself up with. I thought that was a nice touch.
The Bad: I want to make a distinction between dirty and unsanitary. The tables and chairs were well cleaned. The bathrooms were clearly cleaned recently, but there was a heavy residue on the floor, and my feet stuck to it as I walked. The bathroom walls were covered in fingerprints (buttery hands). And the sink was clean on the part that you can easily see. But it was dirty around the overflow which you can see in the mirror. Overall I think it dampers the experience just a small bit.
Also, I didn't find the blue crabs to be particularly high quality. This is a source issue. The coloration of the crab leads me to believe it's from somewhere brackish.
The ugly: It's you! Joking aside. Don't be afraid to wear the bib and gloves. It's a part of the experience. And it will save your clothes. You can be perfectly careful all night and it can be ruined when your neighbor flings their food onto your chest. Enjoy it, and don't...
