This is one Burger King I won't be back to. Driving all over the tri state area I've had a range of good and bad experiences and this made the top 3 worst.
I walk in with my coworker expecting a "fast" food experience. I am only allotted a 30 minute window for lunch. The place is nearly empty and the drive through line was near non existent. The one man at the counter is clearly frustrated and has his arms crossed. I should have taken the cue and just left. 20/20 hindsight. It takes about 10 minutes for someone to come over and actually take our order. Mine is simple-Whopper with cheese, fries, and a chocolate shake. The guy slowly meanders away, comes back at the same speed, and tells me they don't have hershey syrup. I tell him fine I'll take a vanilla. He is clearly annoyed. He puts my order at dine in even though its carry out, didn't bother asking, just adds extra tax to the bill.
Over the next 30 minutes, literally a 40 minute sage to get a burger, fries, and shake, I watch a whole crew of people "work". There is no urgency, no customer service quality of any kind, and the one guy rolled his eyes when I reminded him about the shake when I was getting my food. A whole group of construction guys came in, waited so long, some ordered, waited longer, and got so fed up they left about 15 minutes later. I did try to warn them before they placed an order because it was an absolute garbage fest.
They had the bodies on site to do the work, they were very clearly not short staffed, but the incompetence and lack of desire for them to work was just as noticeable as the feeling they didn't want to deal with any customers. After waiting for 35 minutes and my coworker asked about our food the one woman acted overwhelmed that they were "dealing with all these orders". Maybe if they worked the last 30 minutes they wouldn't have piled up?
By the time we left the drive through was backing onto the road. They deleted our orders off the screen early on so our wait time wouldn't count against them, just the same as they took forever to take our orders. I can only guess there was no manager on site, didn't bother asking for one. I figured if there was they had to be completely incompetent at their job to let such a crew operate the way they did that day. On the off chance corporate reads this do you not monitor your locations? No secret shoppers?
The only reason I gave this place a 2 star instead of a 1 star is because they actually got the order right. After 40 minutes of that circus I really am surprised they didn't throw chicken in the bag let alone get the toppings right, but 3/4 of an hour they managed to assemble the...
Read moreWife went through the drive thru, ordered the original chicken sandwich combo and a double cheeseburger , first, she wasn't asked what she wanted to drink but was given a coke and when asked "what's this" snotty the girl said "a coke" wife wanted a sprite..got home..her chicken sandwich tasted just like FISH. As the fries.. wife has fish allergies.. she called and asked for the manager..the manager ALEXA spoke, my wife explained that the chicken tasted like fish and asked if they cook the chicken in the same oil as the fish and she, Alexa said yes.. first for allergy precautions and not to spoil other food you cook fish in it's own oil.. but Alexa didn't know how to make it right, instead, very poorly stated she couldn't do anything about it and that no one else is complaining..then again said that nothing can be done and laughed and hung up.. baffled we immediately call back and no answer.. after 4 times trying, we took the chicken of the sea sandwich back and ALEXA was very rude, stating she's too busy to tend to our complaint..we insisted on a resolution for the disatisfaction of the order.. ALEXA Stated even with our receipt she could not give a refund..we insisted that we didn't want food from there and wanted the money back.. ALEXA pulls her wallet out and throws $2 on the counter and pulled $2 out of the register and throws it and said " that's all you get" it was unbelievable..we told her that this is poor customer service and she states "I'm too busy.. we told her to keep the money. never again.. she was scooping fries and was too busy to deal with our dis-satisfaction.. this girl needs to be trained properly if she is going to be manager otherwise if I was her boss.. I'd tell her we're going in a different direction and she is not the direction we're...
Read moreWe had a gift card but typically don't eat at Burger King so we wanted to order $30 worth of food in one go and pig out. We each got chicken wraps. He got the honey mustard wraps and I got the regular. I asked for no royal sauce but add pickles. They remembered the pickles but they still had the sauce which I didn't care for but I put ranch on them and it helped a bit. We were already a big order so I didn't want to complain. The wraps are pretty small and were not warm at all, not even the chicken. We each got an 8 piece cheesy tots which we both enjoyed. They were fresh and very good. We shared a large fry which was okay. Not very fresh and they needed salt added. We also got a 4 piece mozzarella fry to try. Those were good. It came with marinara cup which was good with it. We also each got a shake. He got the classic oreo shake. It was thick and good. I ordered the chocolate oreo shake and received just a chocolate shake with no oreo pieces. That was a bit disappointing but it was still good. Then we got a piece of the oreo pie to share. That was good but a bit small. Overall a decent experience, but not good enough to put Burger King on our list of restaurants we go to. This was probably the only BK trip for the decade unless we get another gift card. Also, this gift card was received in 2018 so it took quite a while to use in the first place, but hey, at least it...
