If I could rate this McDonald’s 0 stars, I would.
This was one of the most disappointing and disgusting experiences I’ve ever had at a McDonald’s.
As a long-time Uber Eats delivery driver with over 6 years of experience and a Platinum-level rating, I’ve picked up thousands of orders.. many from McDonald’s locations, without issue. But the way I was treated here was completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and frankly, felt very targeted.
I came through the drive-thru after hours to pick up an order. The employee asked for the order number, but I explained it wasn’t visible on my main screen and that I have vision issues. I gave the customer’s name instead (standard protocol), and told her I’d show everything at the window. She refused and threatened not to release the order if I didn’t provide the number over the intercom. At that point, I told her I wasn’t going to sit and argue or hold up the line. I’d speak to someone at the window. I figured it was time to ask for a manager to hopefully de-escalate things and report the unnecessary attitude and threat over something I was physically unable to provide.
At the first window, when I asked for a manager, the employee laughed, smirked, and made it a joke asking what happened a few times like it was a source of entertainment for her. I explain to her that I wasn't comfortable going over that with her only the manager She said she would speak to me at the second window. When I drove to the second window, the manager was already in defense mode .. refused to listen, constantly talked over me, and tried to justify the employee’s behavior. I showed her the order details just as She asked and as I said I would from the beginning, and the name and number were clearly there. She had the food in her hand but pulled it back, slammed the window, and raised a “Right to Refuse Service” sign.
To make matters worse, they shut down the entire drive-thru line, leaving all the customers behind me stuck, just to “make a point.” Over what? A simple pickup? I had already proved I was the driver. What were we even arguing about?
As a Black woman, I felt targeted, disrespected, and dismissed. Not one employee stepped in to help.
The fact that I had to call the police just to protect myself and explain what happened says it all. Even the officer wasn’t able to get the names of the manager or the employee who spoke to me over the intercom. The officer went inside to try and assist, but they still refused transparency.
After reading other reviews of this location, none of this surprises me. Their ratings are low for a reason, and the pattern of behavior is obvious.
McDonald’s needs to take real accountability for who they allow to represent their brand. I understand that each location is franchised, but if corporate continues allowing people like this to operate under their name, it reflects poorly on the...
Read moreMy husband and I ordered inside, the person at the counter had to be told several times to get our order correct. The store was empty, no one in line. The drive-thru had maybe 1 or 2 cars. When we went to our car, and I opened the package to eat my no cheese hambuger, the meat was stone cold. I went back I inside and gave it back, the front line worker said they would remake it. When he brought a fresh one to me, he asked what else he could do. I said you could give me a refund please, and he said okay. The manager, who looked about 18 years old, asked what was going on, I politely told him what happened. He was very courteous and respectful and gave me a.refund. While I was waiting, a gentleman was waiting behind me and told the manager his food was cold. When I brought my hamburger back to the car, I discover there was 2 pieces of cheese, which is not what I ordered. I could not bring myself to go back again because I was too angry. I threw away the burger. There is a serious problem here, and I think the store owner better get in control of this. I promise you that I will never go to another McDonald's again. The last time I came here I got a chicken breakfast sandwich and had diarrhea for...
Read moreI usually don't have any problems about the mobile ordering system, but this morning this resturant in particular didn't know how to use their system. I was seeing other people's orders and I was hearing them over the intercom. When I told them my code, she was repeating the letters, but was getting it wrong and took forever to figure it out. So, I gave her my name to maybe help her find it. She then entered my order manually and I had to give her my credit card. The person who was in charge of the drive thru was rude and blamed their computer system on me. She also charged me extra on my rewards. She then gaslight me and was giving me attitude. It's a little petty to even reviewing a McDonald's a bad review but... oh my God. Absolutely, computer inept AND rude.
I want to say that they were rude because it's daylight savings and it was 5-6am -- she was grumpy AF.
Will change to a higher review if apologized to, but its a 2 star for me. 👎
Edit: Officially changed to 1 star. Should be lower to be honest.
Customers BEWARE. Go to another McDonald's location. Drive that extra 5 mins. This location is...
