McDonald's — Restaurant in Fairfield

If I could give 0 stars I would. This McDonalds in Fairfield is the worst McDonalds Ive ever been to. We stopped going for a while or if we go we just get a happy meal for my son. But every EVERY single time we go. Our food is cold. We have to wait 30 minutes or longer for our food. Today might have been the tipping point for me and my family. I placed an order. My husband picked it up for me. They couldnt find it. Took over 30 minutes to find it. Then once they did find the order they brought out in bag but forgot all our drinks. Then my husband made it all the way home and they forgot our happy meal. I went back up there with the receipt. It took at least 5-10 minutes before I was even acknowledged. Workers kept looking over and not saying a single word to me. Then finally someone came over. I said my husband was just up there I handed over the receipt and told them we were missing a happy meal. The guy didnt say a single word. Just grabbed the receipt turned around and made it. No apology. No words. Nothing. Just turned around grabbed the happy meal and that was it. We will not be back. Came back home and of course all of our food was cold had to reheat it up. Over an hour of waiting and going back and forth. No apology. Cold food. Not worth my money. Placed 6:34. Staff was very attentive. Best McDonald's staff I have ever seen. They were out in the lobby, opening doors for guests to come in, helping people, wiping tables, serving food to tables, just awesome to watch them. People were using the kiosks and not having to go to register at all, but this process takes much longer, at least 3-4 times longer than just walking up to the counter and speaking your order. They have a long way to go with that topic. Took about 5 minutes to get the 2 Big Macs and 1 small fry. There were about 10 tables or less of guests in the restaurant, so I don't know how busy the kitchen was. All I know is that the patties were dry. Either they were overcooked or had been sitting in a warmer for some time. The patties didn't fit the sandwich, they have stripped it down. It really isn't a "meal" when you pay about $4 for 2 ounces of meat, pinch of lettuce, and some paltry other items on a overly-large bun. Not impressed with the food at all. If it weren't for the "special sauce", the food had no flavor at all. I give it the 3-star rating because of the staff - Great Cuddos to the manager and owners. Now go beat up the corporation for killing one of the best selling sandwiches...

Everyone was super friendly, but this is the thing that got me....

The lady infront of us in the drive through got the wrong order (our order) she held up the line passing the incorrect bag of food back to the McDonald's worker - mind you this took a a while. Well, when they took care of her - it was our turn. We pulled up to the window and they tried to give me 'that' bag. I told them I saw that y'all gave it to the women in front of me and that it was passed back. 😐 (I've been a germaphobe before covid. )

I asked the McDonald's worker if the bag she was handing me was given to the woman i front of me. You could tell I caught her off gard. The McDonald's worker lied to me, and said it wasn't. 🙄

I said screw it, and took the bag. I didn't want to be that person holding up the line. We parked, and looked in the bag. You could tell the food was handled. The burger wrappers where all undone, Wrinkly bag,a half empty large fry w/no bag fries etc.

I went inside and asked for a refund. The manager was very kind and understanding and offered to make us a other meal free of charge. I politely declined, we...
