So My best friend and I took our kids to Scandia today while our wives were doing a baby shower. Afterwards we were hungry and didna quick search, this place was like a 45 second drive and the menu showed Lamb burger as an option. So we decided to check it out. . .DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! In fact quite the opposite! We you walk in it is quite unassuming, there are no pictures on the walls or any real type of decoration, but the place is clean, I'm talking operation room clean! At places like this I've been to in the past the food was usually ok, and I am never one to need a lot of distractions while I'm eating so I had no problem with the understated atmosphere. When we opened the door the host, GK, greeted us with a smile and warm welcome, and we asked a few questions about the menu which kindly and thoroughly answered, I ended up ordering the #2 double burger with lamb option ( you can choose between Angus or lamb) I got the bacon and avocado add ons and ordered my fries extra crispy. I also got my son a single beef smashed burger. She told me that all the food was made to order so it would take about 15 minutes. No problem there. My buddy then ordered the number 1 single patty burger meal with the avocado add on.
About 10 minutes later our food came out piping hot. And I do not exaggerate when I say everything was perfect. The burger meals came with 4 dipping sauces; a red mandarin sauce, a green cilantro mint sauce, a Chipotle sauce and another spicy sauce that I don't remember the name of but was friggin delicious!!! I asked GK what the best uses for the sauces were, she told me that most people like dipping their fries in them or putting them on the burger, but suggested that I try the flavor of the burger without the sauces first, then maybe trying the mint and chipotle sauces with the burger as they would pair well with the lamb. The burger itself was perfectly executed, bursting with flavor, the avocado was a perfect edition adding some fatty and creamy elements. The bacon was thin and crispy adding a nice textural contrast and a hint of smokiness. The fries were an unexpected delight. Unlike many burger places that treat fries as an afterthought, these fries were crafted as a perfect compliment to the burger. They were well seasoned with balance in such a way that it enhanced the enjoyment of the burger. They were audibly crispy on the outside with a light and fluffy interior. One could creat ASMR content with the crunch of these fries. I have eaten many burgers and don't often review places unless I truly find there food worthy. And in this case I do. I have not tried anything else on the menu, but quite frankly I don't need to. This is easily one of the top 3 burgers I have tasted in...
Read moreInfluenced by indian take-over, RG kitchen could be unique place in the middle of fastfood burger chain. However, it was confusing and overall didn’t hit the spot for successful restaurant.
food (3/5) It’s okay food but not even better than franchise burger joints. I ordered double cheese burger, and the beef tasted like a tandori lamb. The patty was thin and overcooked. It was hard to chew. The purple onion was dried and they used too much lettuce and it made burger even more drier. The french potatoes were amazing meanwhile. could be one of the best one that I ever had. But the main burger was very disappointing.
Service The manager lady seems like the owner of the place. She said she’d opened that place for 8 months. But it seems only opened yesterday. She over-works and over-manages on everything single thing, and it made me uncomfortable. Hey, it’s a burger place. I just wanted to enjoy the food. To make the business be successful, the owner should trust cashier and cook. and simplify the menu with RG’s signature foods. The ketchup should be default for french fries and reduce to 2 special sauce for burger. I just want her to try burger king.
atmosphere It is clean but missing something. The wall has nothing but white walls. And wish the tables are more separated. The bathroom should be fully fixed for use and the sign should be printed not hand-written. The menu on the screen doesn’t help for me to select food.
Over-all Small businesses should be respected, but at least food should be amazing. If the food is great nothing else’s not matter. Please relax and trust your people and make good...
Read moreFirst of all, what went well was the freaking food! I got amazing service by all the workers. I got a lamb burger, fries, and three sauces were included. There was a red sauce (spicy), green sauce, and pink sauce (sweet). The lamb burger had obviously the lamb which was a perfect size, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and the green chutney sauce which isn’t spicy so you should be fine. When I took a bite of it, I didn’t want to take a picture of it because of how delicious it was. It’s a good breakfast, lunch, and dinner to have. If you like burgers and Indian style food, then you shouldn’t really judge because it does meet high quality meals. A lot of people have different spice levels so IF you think the red saucy is spicy for you, mix it with the pink, which I did just to have fun mixing around with the sauces. The fries were crispy and good , too! The ambiance was nice, clean, and organized. So, I really would suggest giving this place a try and coming here because the food is fresh and healthy! They have a great selection of drinks too which I didn’t get because I wanted my stomach to be filled with the food and feel it. Yes RG Kitchen, in burgers we do trust! Coming...
