Traveler's Alehouse — Restaurant in Fairhaven

Won a gift card from work and decided to try this place out for the first time. It was not too busy on a Saturday night closer to 5 but was busy by the time we left. The bar area was busy. Our waitress was nice and answered all our questions. The beer was also refreshing and cold and they have a decent selection. Only 16 oz glasses though. They bring over some bread with an oil based Chimichurri and some regular butter and finally some maple butter. Was very good. The clam chowder only comes by the bowl but isn’t overly large. It is thick and has bacon in it. Not expected but still yummy. The fish and chips were made with haddock and it was a large portion of fish for 20 dollars. The plate was filled with waffle fries and coleslaw. The waffle fries were crispy and had a slight seasoning to them. The build your own burger was nothing special but hits the spot if you’re looking for a thick and juicy burger on a buttered bun. Also comes with those yummy waffle fries and a pickle spear. If you are in the area and looking for a spot to eat that offers good food at reasonable prices, friendly service, and great atmosphere look no further. Our softball team was in town for a tournament and they were able to accommodate a party of 31 in just 2 days notice!! Emily was our server and was incredible. She was attentive, friendly, and was not flustered by our large party. She provided outstanding service!! All the food was accurate and came out at once. Everyone enjoyed their meals and not one of them was cold or had been sitting under a heat lamp. They truly did an outstanding job from start to finish. Went in for lunch today with my wife and kids hoping for a quick bite to eat. We made it a point to order our food the first time the server came to the table. They got our soup out first and the kids food came shortly after that. My wife and I then waited over 40 minutes for our food to arrive. The server never checked back until we were getting up to leave. The food was finally being brought out as we were getting our kids ready to leave. We didn’t receive an apology and the server barely acknowledged the situation. As a food/beverage server of 10+ years all it would have taken was a simple explanation of why the food was taking so long and an apology.
