Can anyone believe , the plate come in 4 dollars worth of fries underneath on top fills with fews small scallops and 5 pieces of shrimp and about 10 pieces of clam strip not found one belly …. Which I only paid to get when I ordered… Their plate can’t even compare for the seafood and ice cream place in ME I had it last wk… I paid $13 Dollars for whole belly plate in Maine. ME —Seafood and best ice cream I have ever had Local small shop called ….“ SHAIN’S “ Gots bigger and better, fresher taste than this stupid Genes seafood In FairHaven, MA I came back out with plate and told the lady at the cashier who toke the order in first place at the cashier counter.., She was also so not listening even I requested to exchange with whole belly plate which was 8 dollars cheaper than the wrong plate they have given me… she kept her mouth to keep that money until my son back me to interact.. Read moreThis review is based on the only thing i come here for~ lobster rolls. This place is your typical New England clam shack that's been through several owners for generations. Picnic tables & plastic fork dining attracts all the tourists and locals heading home after a day at the beach. It's always served traditional, fresh seafood selections, as well as hot dogs & hamburgers for the selective eaters. Windows line the walls offering a nice breeze, but don't expect A.C.. This place has survived because of its fresh seafood offerings, not for it's knotty pine atmosphere or views of route 6. I've gone to this place for their lobster rolls at least once every summer since I was a kid. It's simple large chunks of lobster on a hot dog bun w mayo on the side have been replaced w smaller chopped up pieces which I didn't care for last time. You get fries on the side but they are different now too. Cole slaw is no longer on the side either. I guess you have to pay for that now. I wouldn't mind but they've gone way up on price while all the local stores are selling lobster cheap. I would expect to pay $13.00-$14.00 + at Turks, but not for quality that's declined. I even went back a second time just in case it was an off day & got the same chopped up lobster. I've had far better here. Maybe after the summer rush they will improve. For now I can't see spending that much when there are other places offering better quality at a better price. They do have tons of selections. If you get the seafood plate you won't be disappointed. It has everything~ fried clams, scallops & fish. I just eat...
Read moreAbsolutely love love this place! I had actually stopped going for a looong time after having a few ehhh plates of fish of chips a few years back (twice I went and the fried fish was verrry soggy, even eating it there). I tried it again last season before they closed and ohhh wow, was it good! Friends had told me it wasn't like it used to be & I was in the area that day so decided to give it a whirl after having been at a fair all day & then on my way to work. Am I glad I did! The fish and chips were EXCELLENT, and plenty. The prices are very good fair market pricing, esp for the amount. They even forgave that I was 25¢ short bc I had left my wallet in my friends car by accident with my cards in it and didn't realize that until I went to pay. Luckily I had my cash in my pocket and had almost enough minus the 25¢! Next time I go (they had closed after this trip), I'll be sure to put a few extra in the tip jar, and I'll add a picture! I was too excited to dive in last time. I'm hoping they are fully open today, because I've been waiting all season and I think I spotted the "Open" sign lit when I drove by last week! Wu-Flu be damned, I need some Fish & Chips for my mental health...
