El Metate Mexican Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Fairmount

If I could rate this lower I would, the waiter was the rudest waiter I've encountered in a long time. If he's not the owner they should definitely fire him. Steak burrito was burnt. I asked for a la carte, and he got really rude. Saying I was an bigger guy and should get the one with the combo meal it was 3" bigger... it came out burnt, i didnt.wvem wat all of it.. he.didnt even fill my drink once. All he did was come up and clearly saw that I hadn't finished the burrito just to ask me.if I wanted another.... I thought he was completely out of line. At the end of it he had me wanting to throw hands with him. Don't ever go here the food is not good at all. The cook Burns everything, and everything comes out way too spicy. And the service...

Everytime I'm here it's a disappointment.

We came once before and the food and service was so so. We haven't chosen to return because there are many far better Mexican food places in the area.

Then last week we returned because the funeral party we were with chose to eat here. It was awful. It was a Tuesday, so the place was dead. One guy was working. Called in back up. I understood the service could not be top notch for a completely random 20 person party but the quality of the food, especially, was a reminder of how awful the place is. While the waiters were friendly and as fast as was realistic (bout two hours, walk in to walk out), it's just totally not...

I tried to place my order over the phone, could've saved time by just going in and ordering. The gentleman who answered the phone didnt understand what i wanted but i told him and he didnt understand what i was saying very frustrating. When we got there to pick up the phone the lady walked up and instead of going to get the order she had to get a guy and he was trying to place an order for us. We already had placed it.
