Used to like this place, and have giving so many items to you guys cause I feel your cause was better then goodwill. But what happened to me at the helping hands Christmas help was uncalled for. I wasnt told by anyone that I couldn't sign up for this and salvation army together . And was told to my face that I was a liar and my family that I was told which I wasnt. "I cant double dip" they told me like i was a doing something wrong. If I was told or even called to be told I wouldn't of waisted my time going in and could of avoided all of this. The thing is, if I knew about this I would of chose them cause salvation army doesn't do food and I needed the food for my family. The main issue is one of the helping hand "helpers" was the literal meaning of grinch and got in my face and yelled at me when I wanted an explanation about not getting food atleast and I asked for her name cause of how un helping she was. Told me to have a merry Christmas in the most sarcastic evil way, I had cops called on me cause I wanted any type of help other then get the heck out of here. Anyways it's pretty sad that after talking to the cops that they ended up helping me out with a place I can go and get some food for christmas. They made us so happy. So shout out to the local cops for always being the real helping hands. Unlike these masked grinches. Will be taking the help I give to somewhere not local now which is also sad cause supporting local is where it's at but not when I get treated like this, even on Christmas to not just my family, but some others to. I dont want to take this out on everyone helping there. But this one lady alone gave your entire crew a horrible name. Take your help elsewhere, and if you need help and want to possibly avoid a confrontation with the cops then go to someplace else and get help. Unless you want to talk to chuck at the counter....

Food pantry wouldnt help me. Accused me of lieing to them. Proof of address is on my i.d. They are supposed to help people in need. Not turn them down. Now gotta drive all way to marion pantry just so i can feed my family. I pray nobody ekse gets treated this way by these so called...

I was surprised by some of the pricing. Clothing was inexpensive, but most of the rest was kinda pricey since it’s ran by volunteers and items are donated. I did find a nice price on a bag of yarn tho. Gentlemen at the counter...
