Rego's Brickhouse Pizza — Restaurant in Fairport Harbor

Food was very mediocre and overpriced for what was received. The alfredo and marinara sauces tasted like factory produced fare. Half our order couldn't be fulfilled because they were "out of sausage", something that still blows my mind.

If you're looking for great pizzeria food, keep looking. This isn't it.

I appreciate the reply from the owner of the restaurant but they haven't addressed the main complaint that the food was not good. Other reviews mention that the pizza is great and it very well may be. My review is for the rest of the menu, not the pizza and what we ordered was, as stated, mediocre at best.

As the owner, if you're having issues with DoorDash, you should address that or stop using them. Blaming DoorDash is a poor excuse and doesn't address the poor quality of food we received. The driver called me from within your establishment (tracker showed him there and I could hear the restaurant operations over the phone in the background) to tell me that your staff said they were out of sausage. Did the driver lie to me? I find that difficult to believe and yet that's the claim that's being made here.

Blaming DoorDash and failing to take responsibility sends up a lot of red flags for me. I've been in the restaurant industry as a trained cook/chef for the better part of 10 years so I'm very familiar with how restaurant operations work. Not taking ownership of the issues that were experiences suggests that you are unwilling to make the necessary changes to improve your operation. I can't say what it would be like had I actually gone to your restaurant but I can say without a doubt I am not interested in a round 2 (either in-person or online).

The simple fact is this was the first time I've ever had an issue with a DoorDash delivery and I've ordered many times from many restaurants around the area. Maybe this was a one off thing for you, I'm willing to grant that, but your response does not provide me with any confidence that this is an unusual case.

Disclaimer: I did not order the pizza. I'm just the guard at the gate. They were delivering back to the Frontenac which we were loading at the time, 1/2/2020. Owner delivered pizza to Morton Salt Fairport Mine. He did not stop at the stop signs on our property and reacted extremely negatively to MSHA and US Coast Guard regulation requiring him to stop for a minute and sign in at the gate. His words; "This is ret*ed that we have to do this, this is why we don't deliver here." This is unprofessional behavior. James Clark should hire delivery personnel if he's in such a hurry that he can't be polite and respect the laws we have to deal with every day. Safety is our number-one concern and that's why we have STOP signs and a 5mph speed limit on our property. He ignored both. I had to fill in the blanks he left on our contractor register because he was too flustered to do it himself. I don't know a better way to handle this situation than to tell people about it here in review form. Our safety regulations are not crazy enough to warrant...

I wrote this review and within 20-30 minutes the owner contacted me & was just a great person. I'm going to order from the place tomorrow and I'm really excited to try it. As far as customer service goes I could not believe how quickly and how kind the owner of this place was. So I will write a review about the food tomorrow after I try it

Here is the thing, always looking for great mom and pop shop because i like original taste. So after reading reviews I was like im game. So I called and ordered a pizza and wings and my total wasnlike 18.00. Then i got told my order needed to be 25.00 to deliver to me. Now this is not mentioned on website or menu anywhere. I offered to pay 20 for the order and still was told No.. Now I am sure there are reasons but serious 25 minimum to deliver to painesville.
