This is definitely one of my favorite summer evening go to’s with my little family! We love coming here for a quick sweet treat, when we aren’t in the mood for ice cream! They do have ice cream here too though, they just added ice cream sundaes and milkshakes to their menu, and as always you can still add some to the bottom of your shaved ice! One large shaved ice is the perfect size for 2 adults and a toddler, or even 2 kids and 2 adults! I honestly, don’t think either of my kids could finish a small themselves! LOL. The prices are great && with all the scrumptious flavors they have, you’ll definitely be back for more! The options are endless! Some of our favorite flavors include the lime, blue raspberry, cherry, pineapple, and Hawaiian punch! The specials are always a great choice too! The shark bite shaved ice is a good one to try, if you don’t mind a little tartness from their sour blue raspberry 😋! We’ve gone the last two nights in a row, but will be back soon! I definitely want to try their Princess Peach or Dr. Pop specials one of the next times we go! The high school kids they have working here are awesome and we’ve never had an issue yet! The only thing I hope to see change is them adding a few more tables to sit at, no matter where they decide to put them. Tonight all the tables were full, a little less than 30 minutes before closing. So, we ended up standing by the back of our car to dig in, but that wasn’t a huge deal. Also, adding a few more handicapped parking spots wouldn’t hurt! I only saw one when we...

After eating shave ice up to my eyeballs on the Big Island of Hawaii in February, there’s been a shave ice shaped hole in the hearts of myself and my husband.

We were very keen to try 808 in Fairview Park after seeing some delicious looking photos of their shave ice on FB a couple weeks ago.

We went today and the experience was great! It was like they took a shop straight from the islands and dropped it in Fairview Park. They really have it down pat.

My husband ordered the 24 oz slush the 808 way with the “Front Street” flavor combo that included creamsicle, strawberry & mango syrup flavors for the slush and was topped with swirled with vanilla ice cream (you can choose other ice cream flavors) and topped with sweeten condensed milk and whipped cream.

I had the the same size and toppings/ice cream for my slush but chose the “Whale Breach” syrup flavor combo blue Hawaii, coconut, and blue vanilla.

We brought our dog Miso with us and when we inquired about options for doggies and they offered a complimentary pup cup that had plain shave ice, coconut syrup, and a dog treat on top. She approved of it!

Next time we go back we will probably try the regular shave ice bowls instead of the slushes. They...

I know. You've seen the website. You read about how shaved ice is better than a "snow cone" but it's just marketing, right?

Wrong.

I had shaved ice as a teen on some family vacation, and it forever ruined snow cones for me.

Enter 808 Shave Ice.

They've rescued me. I can once more enjoy soft, delicious shaved ice that ACTUALLY feels like snow in my mouth once more. Their wide variety of flavors, and pre-made options to choose from are fabulous - and the sizes are amazing (though, let's be honest, we're paying for ice and sugar syrup, so it's hard NOT to give large portions given the premium price...)

Well worth the visit on a warm days. With distinct waiting areas for each group to stand in.

Definitely give these guys a try next time you think you want ice cream, but want "something different". You...

I started coming here about 3 summers ago and since then we come as soon as they open in May and try to come at least once a month; if not more. Prices are reasonable and this isn’t the “snow cone” you may be use to. This is literal snow not tiny ice cubes with syrup that all sinks to the bottom. The shaved ice is super smooth melt in your mouth no ice crystals to crunch through. They have a variety of flavors something for everyone! They keep the dine in tables very clean and the staff comes out and checks on you to ensure you’re enjoying your time with 808. I love it here, definitely our favorite summer tradition. I just wish you guys would open a location on the east side 🥲
