It was my first time here, and it won’t be my last! This was a small little place, but we walked right in and sat down on a Saturday morning. There’s also a small parking lot as well. Make sure you pay attention to the hours because they are very limited. And it’s cash only!!!
They told us there is only one chef (Gina’s nephew, I think) so it takes a while. I appreciated the heads up, but I felt like the wait time was extremely reasonable!
Coffee was good and refilled often. The home fries were so buttery and delicious! You can get them with or without unions cooked in them. My French toast was so cinnamon-y and great. My husband enjoyed his omelette as well. And they thick rye toast was delicious.
We enjoyed talking with Gina too. She told us how the building is 98 years old with its original windows! She said we have to come back to try a BLT or hamburger. I really loved hearing her stories!
This place was more than a diner. It was a sense of community. I can’t wait...
Read moreI woke up starving since I had to work most of the night and crashed as soon as I got to the hotel. Slept through the hotel breakfast so once I checked out I was looking for a “breakfast place near me” on my phone. There were a few places nearby but Gina’s Place had really great reviews. They were closing at 1:00, Siri said I would arrive at 12:15 so I punched it in. Then before I started I stopped and was going to pick a different place. Thought they might be too busy for me to get in, I still had to go by the UPS store before turning in car and then on to the airport. Then I switched back over to Gina’s, breakfast was in my head. I arrived and they were busy but still had room for more customers. Nice friendly place. I think everyone there knew everyone but me lol. I ordered the #2, eggs, bacon & a sausage patty and 2 pancakes. Everything was great and talking with Gina was a bonus. And there is a UPS store right across the street!!! If you have never been here you are...
Read moreGina's place is a small, adorable diner in Fairview Park. I found it online while a friend was visiting from Michigan, so we decided to give it a try. It is cash only, so come prepared. Luckily, there was an ATM across the street. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable (got to meet Gina herself), and everything was maintained very clean. Unfortunately, there was a very rude table while I was here who really treated the staff poorly. There was one waitress and one chef. I did say it was small, didn't I? It really broke my heart to see them be treated so poorly, and the entire diner was able to overhear. Just despicable! Nonetheless, we may not be able to control the ugly in the world, but the staff did such a lovely job at handling the situation. I would love to come back and support this business and these lovely...
